I promised that once I got settled I'd share some pictures. So I'm excited to show you some snapshots of where I work and live. When I decided to move from my last place, I hunted and hunted for someplace new that was flooded with bright light and I'm so lucky to have found this space. For the very first time, I have truly separate spaces for my office and for my sewing studio. And I have to tell you, I feel really, really lucky and I just love it here. So welcome to my space!
My desk.
The other side of my sewing room. And just in case you weren't paying very close attention...New cats! :) I went to the animal shelter for one and of course came home with two. They've quickly become best buddies and I awake each day with a pile of cats by my feet. So wish a warm welcome to Dexter (the little orange guy) and Fiona (also known as Cow Spot).

Oh, how at-home the furbabies look already !
What a wonderful thing to do.
Your home looks very nice, but you must learn to think like this......." I am not LUCKY, I am BLESSED !" Then you'll remember to be thankful everyday, and those blessings will continue ~ ! ~
Your new space looks just beautiful Laurie! And I let out an audible awwww when I saw the second last picture of the cats where they're snuggling - too cute!
Dexter looks so happy and content hugging Fiona... You have a lovely home. I wish mine was half as uncluttered.
f a n t a s t i c Laurie!! :) i lOVE your peekies!! ;)
What a lovely home! You look like you're all settled in!! My grandmother, who was married to a Methodist minister and moved about once every four years, always had a "junk room" in the parsonage where there were boxes she never unpacked - they just stayed packed up from move to move!
Welcome home then! A gorgeous place, for sure! That sewing space is looking way too tidy, though. Time for a big project! Cute kitties (this is huge...I'm not really a cat person, but cats hugging? too much, it put me over the edge).
Such cute little fur-babies! Congrats on the new digs too.
Your place looks gorgeous. What a great space to create. I love your 2nd quilt too!
Love your new space! So bright and airy. Also, love your new kitties! I have 3 of my own, in fact I have one sitting right next to my laptop as I type. You ARE blessed! Have a lovely week!
Those are my favorite kinds of cats....with only one addition ....a lovely calico. Sure you don't need three cats? Roomy n homey digs....you'll be very inspired there.....and it was good you took pictures now - soon it will look like "real life!" You are blessed!
Congratulations on your new space Laurie! It looks beautiful and an awesome inspiring place to create! Love that it is light and bright and airy and of course all the touches with your own designs make it home. Nicely Done!
Aww! Great space--it's gorgeous! And great kitties--no home is complete without them!
What a great space indeed - I always wonder why I don't have more quilted things out - because yours are fabulous! I love the grey and citrus - it seems to be the new best colorway combo! And of course, love those cats - so sweet to see two orphans love each other like their family:)
Dexter & Fiona look so happy in their new home! They're lucky to live with a quilter...so many great places to nap. Perfect additions to your new home.
I love your new pad!!! And you have two new babies too!
Thanks for sharing :)
Great looking place!
Out of curiosity, will you be selling your new fabrics at the Austin Quilt Show by any chance? I'm hoping to pick some up but haven't seen any at the local shops yet and thought it'd be even better to buy directly from you in person if possible!
Thanks so much everyone!
nanannwoogies - I'll only be a visitor to the AQS. And Stitch Lab is carrying some of the collection here in Austin :)
Looks just lovely Laurie, thanks for sharing. And your new cats are so so cute, especially love the photo of Dexter with his paw around Fiona.
i love your new space! and i love all the fun of unpacking, nesting, and seeing everything clean and orderly- it's a nice feeling, while it lasts. :)
