Amy over at During Quiet Time agreed to make something special from Don't be Crabby to help me show off the new collection (starts shipping in December). I love the paper pieced patterns that Amy designs, so I was just giddy with excitement when she said she was going to design a paper pieced Crabby. Eeeep! Are you ready? You should probably sit down. No, really. Sit down. Ready?
And I love the way she incorporated more of the prints from the collection for the back and sides of the bag.
And look at the little wave lines she quilted between the rows of the boats. So sweet.
Today you have two (yep, two!) chances to win both a FQ set of my entire Don't be Crabby fabric collection plus a Crabby paper pieced pattern from Amy.
For chance #1, leave me a comment here (and make sure to include a way for me to contact you). I haven't tried much paper piecing, so if you have any advice, I'd love to hear it. Or if you're new to paper piecing too, just let me know what you might make with the fabric and/or the pattern if you were to win! I'll draw a random winner on Wednesday 11/7/12.
Amy also has a full FQ set and a Crabby pattern to giveaway too! So hop over there next. Two chances to win all sorts of Crabby goodness :) Amy's adorable pattern is available in her Craftsy store and over on Etsy. Here's some details about the pattern :)
--The block measures 10" x 8" finished.
--It's an intermediate paper piecing pattern but there are no Y seams or curves.
I can't wait to try my own Crabby!! I'm thinking beach blanket maybe...And good luck!

I have tried some paper piecing before, but not like this! Adorable!
I've done some paper piecing, not much, but I love Amy's patterns and have a few on my wish list. My DIL requested a beach bag, and this would be PERFECT for her.
Wow she is such a clever lady - love it! I've done a little bit of paper piecing I have to be in the right mood for it! I'd love to make some cushions for my children using this fabric and Amy's awesome pattern - thanks
Oh that's just adorable!!! A few tips:
- shorten your stitch length to 1
- backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam to secure it
- don't scrimp on the fabric so you ensure you're covering all the section
- check and double check your fabric will cover the section
That is so cute. My advice is to follow the advice of Alyce who commented right above me as she already wrote everything I was about to.
That crab is adorable!
I've never tried paper piecing, but I would live to start. I think I've make a pillow out of that little crabby.
Oh my goodness, that crab is adorable! And perfect for beach bags. I love paper piecing and my advice is to not let it intimidate you. If you start with a basic pattern to learn the technique then you can do most any pattern. It's really just the same steps over and over. Big pieces, small pieces, doesn't matter. I agree with Alyce though, don't scrimp on fabric or you will be spending lots of time with your seam ripper.
The only paper piecing I have tried was a few NY beauty blocks but they went really well. This looks do-able. And so, so cute!!!
I love the look of paper piecing but I've been nervous to try it. I love the crab pattern though. Maybe this would be a good place to start. Thanks!
Alyce has given you all the advise I could give! But I would use the fabric to make a huge picnic blanket! I think it would be perfect for that!
I've never tried paper piecing, so no advice from me- I'd like to give it a try though!
I am new to paper piecing also. Some good suggestions in comments.
That crab is too cute. I would love to try my hand at making a mug rug with a crab on it.
I'd like to do a tote bag for books with this one. New to paper piecing.
mystica123athotmaildotcom
I've done some paper piecing. I like it. Love the fabrics and I'd probably make a tote, having been inspired by Amy, or a beach ball type baby toy.
I haven't tried the paper piecing either, but I plan to-especially seeing such cute stuff like this! Love the tote, the Crabby, and of course the fabrics!
I`ve tried paper piecing and love make it.The crab is cutest and I`d love to make a bag for me.
You can begin with big pieces.
The crab and the little sail boats are so adorable! I've never tried paper piecing before, so I'd love to give the pattern a try. Thanks for the giveaway!
I haven't tried paper piecing yet, but have a quilt on the to-do list that requires it. I plan on tackling it when I'm off work over the holidays...
Oh how I love cute PP patterns! I did a lot of PP before. I think it is all about practice :) I would make cute bath accessorize.
Susanne
I've never tried paper piecing, but I would love to. This would make a really cute little boy quilt! Thanks so much-
Amy is so talented! I would love to make a crab bib.
This is such a cute line of fabric!! I would love to have some and make a picnic quilt with it. I have only done a little bit of pping, so I'll leave advice to others :) Thank you.
How cute! I have only made one paper pieces project, a 12 inch square quilt. It was lots of fun. I found that it wasn't too bad as long as I took my time and didn't rush.
i have done a little paper piecing, and the best advice i have is have your seam ripper handy! i hate to say that, but every time i have paper pieced, i always have to rip something out, and it's especially difficult with those tiny little stitches that are best to use.
Amy sent me here ~
I love paper piecing. A lot of time the pieces are numbered so if you follow the numbers you're doing great!
I'd make a beach blanket ~ seems to me the thing to make with this cute fabric!
I'd use the crabbie on an apron! And I have been seeing some lovely paper piecing designs that I would love to attempt but they tend to be very complicated. maybe crabbie will be the one to make me take the plunge.
Diane
I've only done a little bit of paper piecing so far. I love this bag. It's fantastic!
Amy sent me.
I do not do much paper piecing but when I do I highly recommend cutting your fabric pieces bigger than the piece your are sewing it too. It is not fun unsewing when the fabric is too small/short.
thanks for the giveaway.almism19
Amy sure outdid herself with your Crabby fabric on that bag!!
I've only done English paper piecing with hexagons so far, but I would love to try regular paper piecing! I really want to make a beach blanket to spread out at the beach (ours is gettin ga little ratty and a quilted one is so much better!) Thanks for the chance!
The crab paper piecing is adorable!!!
I have not done a lot of paper piecing. When I do, I love it because of it's precision, but I just haven't done a lot. I love the idea of a beach blanket! That would be so cute!!
I've never tried paper piecing, but it sure is cute here!
I love the paper pieced crab! I've done a little pp and I'd make a bag just like Amy's if I was lucky enough to win!
that crab is adorable! i've never paper pieced before either. i would a beach bag!
With a crab that cute - I so want to be crabby!
I have never tried paper piecing either. So no help here. But the fabrics are so adorable!! Love it!
Cute bag! I have not tried paper piecing yet. I like to make tote bags, so would like to try.
This is so adorable. I have yet to wrap my brain around paper piecing, but there are sure some stunning patterns out there. Thanks for the chance.
This is too cute! I love the prints, and the pattern is adorable. Contact at stacy.hadwin@gmail.com

Your fabric line is adorable. I love that crab. The only advice I can give you is to get in there and do it. You'll get it. Good Luck.
I've only done paper piecing for a block swap. I would love do try my hand at some more.
ajkattner at yahoo dot com
Yes my advice for paper piecing is for joining sections... I fully piece the section and then trim down to a 1/4" seam allowance on the fabric AND the paper, then when joining the sections, I guide them together with a pin and sew down the seam allowance line on the paper before I remove it. It means more tiny bits of paper to get rid of but it makes matching sections so much easier.
I've only paper pieced one time and my only advice is pay attention! I had to redo it several times. I think I'd make a bag and a quilt. I grew up on the coast and now live inland so I love all things "coastie"
Crabby is just fab and I love the text background as it make crabby pop. I would love to use the fabric to make a set of summery picnic napkins and placemats.
ks(dot)eyles(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk
Amy's bag is just too cute! I've done some paper piecing - it' Not too hard once you get used to it!
Amy is always comes up with amazing designs! What a fun pp project!! I know how to foundation papar piece, but I don't do it all that often due to an aversion to fiddly-ness. Sometimes you just have to, though, when a pattern like this comes along! My advice would be to shorten your stitch length to 1.5 and use recycled pages of a telephone book to piece on.
I've done some paper piecing and I like the idea of a bag too, thanks for the chance to win.
I've only tried PP once so far and the only advice I have is iron, iron, iron :) And start with bigger pieces than you think you'll need. LOVE these prints. I'd probably make something for my nephew out of them. Thanks!
I love paper piecing although I'm no expert. I just love the way you can get such fun pictures perfectly pieced.
I love paper piecing and if I won this i'd make a cushion to go in my campervan(RV) that we go and visit the beach in :)
Im new to paper piecing. I did 1 pattern at sewing summit but it was a star and not as complicated as a crab or something like that. Id love to learn and get better tho!
I would make a fun beach bag out of the fabric - I've needed one for a while for my personal supplies - book towel snacks etc. and this would be soooooooo cute!
I'm a fan of you gorgeous fabrics, especially the chair with tiny birds, I loooooove them!
I have a little bit experience with paperpiecing, since I turned addicted in the last 10 years! you can see some of my work here: www.flickr.com/photos/silort
I would love to win this gorgeous new beach line!
hugs from Brazil
Silvana (aka silort on flickr)
I love the crab. I also love paper piecing, and I agree with Alyce @Blossom Heart Quilt's tips. I often don't have enough fabric after stitching and folding it back, so I always make sure my seam ripper is handy! Thanks for the chance to win!
I've never paper piece. I tend to just wing it when sewing something (not always very effectively). I'd definitely make my son some simple drawstring backpack-type bags for carrying all his treasures he loves toting to the beach. tamara (artichokehrt(at)hotmail.com)
I've never done paper piecing before but with 2 boys of my own and a nephew due to arrive soon I'm sure I could find many ways to use the fabric and the crab, I'm thinking maybe a swimming bag lined with waterproof fabric. Thanks for the give away!
Oooh paper piecing, what fun, a;; you need is to have a good pattern, and make sure you cute oversized pieces of fabric, or you'll end up using that all important seam ripper a bit too much! Ange : )
My husbnd is a chef, and the crab would be great as the pocket or the bib on an apron - too cute right? Thanks for the give away!
Must have this fabric...thank you!
I have never tried paper piecing so this would be a great project to get me into it!
Love these fabrics! I'm not a great paper piecer because it always seems to me that you have to work upside down and backwards. I don't visualize well so that's difficult for me. I do it though, whenever I want the product. It will not defeat me!
My favorite hint is a tool - the add a quarter ruler makes it easy to figure out where and how much to trim.
I'm on google.
I can't tell you how much I love this line! I'm a marine biologist (and quilter!), and am always looking for great ocean-themed fabrics. This is perfect! I've got some friends having a baby boy soon, and this would be perfect for a quilt for them!
arbendlin(at)gmail(dot)com
I love paper piecing, and Amy's patterns are just so amazing that I have several. her tote is the perfect showcase for your fabric! Thanks for the chance to win.
I just learned how To paper piece a few weeks ago. Sew fun. The crab is adorable. Thanks, Mary
I've done a wee bit of paper piecing and learnt one important thing - over estimate the size of the fabric pieces. Otherwise they end up too short, which is a PITA.
highwaycottage@paradise.net.nz
ADORABLE!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
OMG these are adorable! I've never even heard of paper piecing. I'm not sure what I'd make, but something super cute for my son. Or a pouch for myself ;)
skklemm at gmail dot com
I love paper-piecing, you can get so many creative thing in fabric form that way. my biggest piece of advice is over estimate the size of fabric you are going to need for a specific space. If it is too small, not to worry, just add on another piece to complete the shape, and most of the time it blends right it ... you clearly meant to do that. ;-)
Love your new fabric line, I can't wait to see what lovely thing come from it. Thanks for the great giveaway.
I have tried a little paper piecing, but I need some more practice. I think this would make a great beach quilt or a summer picnic quilt. Such cute prints.
I love paper piecing for the precision you can get. You waste a bit more fabric but you can piece things like... crabs. Too cute.
would love to win love pp but don't know how
Seeing your line turned into something this wonderful makes me want it even more!
Always have your iron handy and a light box or window to help line up your pieces. I like to keep a small pair of scissors near by to trim seam allowances precisely for incricate piecing.
mb mathis (at) g mail (dot) com
I haven't tried paper piecing as of yet, but this pattern does make me want to try it. These fabrics are just adorable as is the tote bag.
I'm new to paper piecing so I'd make the boys a bag each to take their stuff to Grandma's in.
oh I love love love this! My mom collected crabs and everytime I see one it reminds me of her.
I really enjoy paper piecing. The two most important things (I think), is to cut generous borders around your template, and to tack small pieces really well!
The fabric (and the crab block) will make great pillows for a beach house. :)
thimbleroom(at)gmail(dot)com
Oh I love it!! I used to fear paper-piecing, but once you accept it is all backwards and illogical, it is easy!
I have never done paper piecing...but I can't wait to try. I would also love to make a quilt out of this bundle.
Too cute for words - wants to make be move to the beach for sure. I REALLY want to make this myself so I need to win your FQ bundle for sure!

I will be waiting on baited claw for your call!
Cuteness! I've done some paper piecing, my only too is to measure the width of the part that you are going to piece, then cut strips with a little extra. I was always trying to use random pieces and its much easier to not have to rip!
I am horrible at spatial thinking, so paper piecing is a challenge for me. I always end up with things tilted the wrong way or sewn on backward. I have to try again, though - I will conquer it some day! Thanks for teh chance to win this wonderful bundle!
That crab is so cute!! I haven't tried any paper piecing yet, but it is in my to do list. New bags to hold the grandkids' swim gear would be a great way to use Crabby!
I love paper peicing, I keep looking for new cute patterns to collect. :)
Amy is simply amazing with her paper piecing, I love her wellie boot as well!
I'd be making cushions with Crabby and your fun fabric!
Love the fabrics and the bag! Haven't done much paper piecing lately but I could get back into it to make this cutie!
I'd make a pillow to put in my sewing room. Such cute fabrics.
Eaten many a Chesapeake blue crab over newpaper. Just warms my heart! Hope I can get some.
I LOVE the crab! I've never tried paper piecing. If I won the fabric, I'd make a baby quilt. :) Thanks!
I've never tried paper piecing, but I hope to soon! This pattern is super adorable!
I *need* this.
lochknitsmonster(at)gmail(dot)com
Can't wait for this collection to come out. My son approved this line for his room redecorate so a quilt is definitely in order. Love Amy but she's soooo crabby;-)
use big pieces :) That is what always gets me lol... don't try and hope that a smaller piece will work LOL
A beach blanket would be so cute! Se, I thought a beach bag first, but blanket would be great too!
You can't be afraid to waste fabric. It's fun once you get the hang of it!
I love the crab!! I love paper piecing and can't wait to try this one!
I have not tried Paper Piecing but if I won the fabric, I just might give it a try!
I love your crabs! My mother collected crabs and I think of her whenever I see a cute crab design. My grandchildren would look cute carrying a "crabby" bag as a way for them to learn about their special great grandmother who loved them before they were born but never got to meet them.
I've never tried paper piecing, but this is adorable! I think a patchwork romper or pinafore for my baby girl would be perfect for this. Thanks for the giveaway!
amosandkaren(at)comcast(dot)net
I would love to make a crabby bag with this adorable fabric!
maybe a picnic quilt. I have never paper pieced, maybe this is the year to try.
My paper piecing tip is to use Easy Mask paper that you find at the paint store. It comes on a roll in widths multiple of 3" (e.g., 6", 9", 12", etc.), is very thin for your perforations, but sturdy enough for feeding through your inkjet printer. Best of all it's very inexpensive and can be cut to whatever lengths work best for your pattern, unlike regular printer paper.
I really like your fabrics!
This fabric would be great for paper pieced hexagons!
Thanks for the giveaway. I am learning still myself how to paper peice, so no tips here yet
I love paper piecing and I love the crab pattern and the fabrics.
Email: DamascSt@gmail.com
I love this fabric. I would love to make some pillows for my boys room to brighten it up. I haven't attempted paper piecing yet!
I have never done paper piecing, but have been interested! I think I'd make a beach bag or travel tote of some kind.
Tilleybl@aol.com
I know nothing about paper piecing except how great the results are. If I win, I'll be making pillowcases for my nephews.
Such cute fabric for vacation or summer! Great for a beach towel, sun visor and tote. Have had fun paper piecing a rose in the past. The crab is adorable!
Such gorgeous fabric designs as always wuth a delicious sense of humour
I'm still fairly new to paper piecing but the only advice i have is -- Be patient! And don't try to be stingy with fabric.
Adorable fabric!!!!
My only paper piecing has been working on Dear Jane. Instill need lots of practice!
cjpike at indiana dot edu
I'm a begiiner paper piecer but am enhjoying each challenge. This looks like a fab crab - so mych fun!! Super fabric too - fingers crossed!!
I am also fairly new to paper piecing - my biggest piece of advice is cut your fabric pieces bigger than you think you will need them....mine are always just a bit too small and I have to go cut another one!
This is the sweetest pattern and as always, I just love the collection
LOVE your fabric! It just makes me happy when I look at it. I'm new to paper piecing too, so my advise as a 'newbie' is to use larger pieces of fabric then you think you'll need. It's a little wasteful, but until I really know what I'm doing, it is saving me from having to rip out seams. :) Thank you for the opportunity!!!
Amazing! Paper piecing is next on my to-learn list, so this might be the perfect place to start.
Hello! I love the tote bag from Amy.... Never work with paper pieces..I would like to do a reversible patchwork bag for my little kid, he is starting going camps..
my email is almohadoneslanegrita at gmail dot com
I've never tried paper piecing, but I am seeing many cute patterns for it. This fabric would make a great picnic/beach blanket. Thanks for the chance to win!
ellen(at)myerly(dot)net
I love to paper piece... advise is... test, test where you join pieces with a pin, and baste. Open it up. to see if it matches, then sew with the final smaller stitches. Be patient and rip out of it isn't correct, before going on!
Susie

I don't have many prints that are good for boys. I would love to make some pillows for my little grandsons. I have only done hexagons in paper piecing. I would love to do more of it but just haven't had the time to sit down and really learn it.
I'm new to paper piecing, too (only just started with some hexies a couple of weeks ago) - I would love to try that crabby pattern, though! I would plop that crab on a BEACH BAG!
I have done some paper piecing but not much. I would like to get better at it. I would love to make a quilt for my grandson who loves crabbies.
I'm fairly new to paper piecing. I'd make a quilt, and it would be a cute one, too. soparkaveataoldotcom
This fabric is adorable!!! My daugher lives at the shore, so this theme would be perfect for a table topper for her! Have never done paper piecing, but would love to give it a try. :)
I am beginning to do paper piecing and this looks like a fun one. And with the coordination fabric wow would be great thanks for the giveaway
I really do love this fabric line..esp the whales (my married name being Whaley) and the giveaway is so generous... love your blog it is always fun to read but I do HATE the Captcha thingy... always takes me at least 3 trys to get one right in order to post a comment
Love this fabric line ! Paper piecing is fun !
I agree with all the helpful comments....yes! seam ripper at the ready ! That said....paper piecing is like
eating potato chips.....you can't stop with one !
Thanks for the giveaway....

Well I would make a beach quilt for my house to remind me of all the years I lived at the beach and incorporate the PP crabs as many blocks in it. The fabric is just perfect for it or anything dealing with the beach. Thank you for the giveaway, you have hit it out of the park with this line!
Would love a chance to win. My Dad lives close to a beach and the grandkids love to go with him and look for crabs washed up on Great-Gramps beach!

I have never tried paper piecing but would love to give it a try. I would make quilts to donate to the childrens floor of my local hospital babscorbitt@gmail.com
The fabric is yummy and the crab is just too adorable! Thanks for the sweet giveaway!
I learned to paper piece from the expert Carol Doak. Saw her on Simply Quilts show a long time ago. She covers everything so it was easy for me b/c it made sense. If you can get a CD of her basics, I think you'll master it quickly.Love the Crabby fabric and the whole beach theme. I used to be a young lady that would go to the Jersey shore & work the summer. But it looks like the shore has been destroyed.
I've never tried paper piecing before so I'd love the chance to try it now! Really cute fabric...make neat pillows, bags And quilts!
Andreahfranklin @ gmail.com
I have tried paper piecing and have newly discovered the freezer paper method which I much prefer over the method where you spend hours picking out bits of paper. I LOVE Amy's crab and agree eeeepp!! he is too cute as is the bag she made with your lovely fabrics. Should I be so fortunate as to win you can reach me at:
djritter@telus.net
I haven't really done any paper piecing. This would be such a cut project to give it a try though. I would love to recreate this adorable bag for the beach.
I haven't really done paper piecing, but I'd try it on a little shirt and pant sets for a little boy, for a cute little outfit to wear out to a sea food restaurant or to just wear because it's cute and comfortable.
Such an adorable crab! I think a beach towel would be great to go along with your new bag.
Paper piecing, instead of pins, I like to use painters tape.
eeeeeeppppps I need that bag.. it is so cute.. I love the fabric line.. and we live by the ocean.. so it should be *grin*
Love this project and the fabrics. Can't wait to work on a beach tote for my granddaughter.
Thanks for sharing.
I love paper piecing, and about the only advice I can give is . . . remember, you are working from the wrong side, so whatever you're making will be the opposite of the pattern. Can't relate how many times I've forgotten this. :)
I love paper piecing, Have been doing some patterns of kitchen utensils and tea pots. I bought a ruler called "add a quarter" which actomatically adds 1/4 inch seam allowance when making pattern.
Thanks for the chance to win!
wigglypup2(at)yahoo(dot)com
I've got a paper piecing block underway. The only advice I have is patience!
I've never tried paper piecing, but that is just too adorable! Thanks!
sguday(at)shaw(dot)ca
The Crabby fabric would make a great floor cushion or a pillow. Thanks for the giveaway.
Ihave yet to try paper piecing - I'm a little scared of it!
This is adorable! I have done a bit of paper piecing and this one would be fun! thanks!
I have tried some paper piecing, but I am not an expert, noooooo :))) your crag is amazing!!
I've done some simple paper piecing and found it very enjoyable and rewarding! I love this collection! It shouts beach bag!
I've done some paper piecing, and the best advice I can give you is to get a paper piecing ruler, gives the perfect 1\4"
I've never done paper piecing before! It looks like this one would be fun to try out.
So (sew) cute! I have made a whole quilt with paper pieced veggies and I agree with many of the tips here. I also use Carole Doak's paper piecing paper that comes in 100 sheet packs. It is easy to tear off and has a texture that kind of grabs onto the fabric. I feed it through my ink jet or lazer printer and use it to piece. One thing I do is see if I can fit more than one design on a sheet, so I photo copy them and kind of cut and paste them onto a regular letter size piece of paper, then scan that arrangement into the computer as a pdf and print from there.
Your fabric is wonderful! What happy fabric!! Haven't paper pieced, yet, but willing to give it a try! My wife would LOVE this!
Never tried paper piecing actually but have seen so many nice patterns on the net lately!! Should give it a try really...
I tried paper piecing once only, and it was fun! Though I used a really simple pattern - but this carb would be a great pillow cover. The more pillows the better. As for the fabrics, they would be great for a beach bag, mhmh, don't have one yet, so it would be a good excuse :)
The only advice I can give on PP...concentrate!! Especially on the very first piece...I often put it right side up...wrong!
I have tried paper piecing once and think the crab would be a fun pattern to try it on again. I would love to make a crab pillow for my 4 year old son. I know he would love it! Thanks!
I haven't tried paper piecing yet- I'm quite the novice at quilting (but practicing all the time!), so I have no advice to offer. However... I love this fabric! I'm a sucker for cute little animals :)
Totally awesome collection of fabric! I've not tried paper piecing yet, something to put on my crafty to do wish list when my newborn isn't too new! This fabric would make a gorgeous quilt to snuggle under after the beach!
I've never tried paper peicing - it's on my 2013 goals list :)... I love this line for beachy sewing - I'd make a peiced beach blanket (no batting), and use the rest to make a fun bike basket for a boardwalk cruiser bike!
jshen37 at gmail {dot} com
Oh, lovely crab! I'm not an expert at paper piecing but I thing I would try that cute little crab.
Thanks for the chance to win!

I did paperpiecing my NYB blocks. It went great, but sewing the rounds was very hard. Thanks for the great give away!
I would make a lovely beach/picnic blanket for my little grand niece and nephew. Love the fabrics! So cute! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
This is so cute! I've never tried paper piecing, but am gearing up for it one of these days!
I'd just fuse it!lol!
I LOVE this fabric line - would also make a bag!
I love Crabby!! I think it looks so cute on your fabric! I have done a few paper piecing projects and now love sewing this way. I learned through watching videos on YouTube!
Oh so cute! I've done a little paper piecing, but it is still a new thing for me.
If I were the lucky winner I'd either make a baby quilt or maybe a picnic blanket.
Awesome fabric! Thanks for a chance to win! And I love the paper pieced Crab - too cute. I would use this fabric to make a quilt incorporating quilt blocks with my son's handprints arranged and made into a crab on the beach. This fabric looks perfect to make a quilt with these keepsake blocks. Thanks for the opportunity!
I haven't tried paper piecing before but it is on my list to try :)
Fabric is so great. I'd love to use it to make a bag or blanket for my cousin with all boys. I've never tried paper patterns but would love to.
I am new to paper piecing too, I have not tried it yet but I would love to! I would love to make a wall hanging for my nephew's nursery!
Love that pattern! And the fabric.
I have done just a bit of paper piecing.
I've never tried paper piecing but I'm game to try!
lisamcgriff@hotmail.com
I would make a beach tote.
that is adorable. i think it would make great kitchen decor.
I would make a quilt for my roommate/best friend. I have promised to make her one featuring crabs & lobsters :)
nutmeg2011@comcast.net
Great collection! This would make a cute beach bag.
Paper piecing gives such lovely sharp lines - just take care when trimming the seams! How many times have I sliced off a piece that I've just added?!
I'd love to have a crabby beach blanket. Thanks for the giveaway :)
my advice about paper piecing is to do a lot of it in a row. Each time I do it I seem to have to learn allover again. It seems upside down and backwards, but it does work!!!!
I've never done paper piecing but I've got a Christmas project waiting for my sewing machine to return from the shop.
I've never tried paper piecing, but I can see these fabrics in a cute beachy picnic blanket!
I haven't tried paper-piecing. I've been too afraid, but there are some great tips in all the previous comments that may just be the kick in the pants that I need.
I took a paper piecing class last June but haven't finished my project so no words of advise. Cute fabric!
Love the fabric and the pattern. I have done some paper piecing and my advice to you is to have. Glue stick to stick the paper to the fabric, tweezers to get stubborn paper off, sticky tape in case you tear the paper and a seam ripper.
Very, very cute. Love your new fabrics! I've only paper pieced little hexagons; would love to try something else.
I have a couple of projects to try and piece but haven't yet. This cities would give me the motivation I need to finally do it.
