Pooches and Pickups is made up of 3 patterns: Big Trucks, Small Trucks and Pooches. It comes in two color stories: Spring (blue and green) and Summer (red and ochre).
Now, for the disclaimer... Do as I say, not as I design. Huh you say? Lemme explain...I designed this fabric as a little tribute to my sweet Clara dog. (It's been a year since she passed away.) And that girl LOVED, LOVED, LOVED riding in my car. Ears flapping and drool flying. But I drive a station wagon (sassy huh?) which frankly didn't make for very cute fabric. So insert vintage pickup truck in place of wagon and I was off to the races. The design became exponentially cuter with the pooch in the back, so into the bed of the truck the pooches went. But it's pretty dangerous for pooches to ride in the back of truck, ya know? So you see my dilema. Do as I say and not as I design. Keep your pooches safe inside your cars or trucks. :)
Now for the free fabric! I'm giving away two FQ packs of Pooches and Pickups to two lucky winners. You know the drill...Leave a comment here on the blog and tell me what you'd like to make (or tell me about your pooch!). I'll use the random number generator to select 2 winners this coming Saturday evening, 4/16/11 at roughly 6pm CT. Good luck and I hope you love the fabric!
I looove this fabric. It makes me happy just to look at it. I would make two quilts for my little boys (or strip pillowcases) to remind them of Tucker. A big black lab that we had to leave behind when we moved due to moving into an apartment. My boys are 2 & 3 and loved that dog. Half the time I couldn't tell who was chasing who as they chased each other around the island in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute! I would make somethings for my four nephews-- Pillowcases are a great idea! Or work them into lap quilts... So many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteFab.u.lous! My two pooches, Moose and Rowdy are brother and sister and have free reign on our farm. They are not fond of riding around...they prefer to run, so no worries there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win some yummy fabric!
Wow... Beautiful line... I'd love to make something for my nephew... I'm making quilts for all my nephews and one niece for a upcoming family gathering... This could sure help me with that one!
ReplyDeleteCheers from India
This is the cutest fabric I've seen lately! Thanks for the chance to win:)
ReplyDeleteWe lost one of our pooches last November. He was terrified to ride in the car, but our other one loves to go even if it's just in the driveway!
Very cute! I would make a baby quilt for the newest member of the family, Cayden :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new fabric. I'm so excited for a great print for boys! My son would love something made from this fabric...maybe a pillow for his bed?
ReplyDeleteYou are so stinkin' creative its ridiculous! love the box springs pics and of course, the new fabric!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pooch, but I have 2 boys under 5...do they count?! Love the fabric...it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteDestined for quilts in my house! ohhh, we had the sweetest mutt growing up...Maggie May...yep, after the rod stewart song...she was such a great dog.
ReplyDeleteAww - what a nice story. My puggy loves riding shotgun.
ReplyDeleteI come from a long LONG line of all-daughter families, and last week my cousin Lisa and her husband brought the very first boy into the mix. We're head over heels, but I'm lost having never sewn anything for a boy. Your fabrics are releasing at just the right time!
Congrats on your new line!
i don't have a dog, i have a cat, but my parents have 3 massive siberian huskies! the oldest is 2 years and the youngest is about 6 months, so their backyard is like a giant puppy playground. i can't wait to see them all blow their coats when the weather starts to get warm (i know i know, it should be warm already. but we've got snow in the forecast again today).
ReplyDeleteLove this line! When I was little we (me, my brother, and the dog)loved nothing more than to jump in the back of my dad's truck and go for a ride. It gives me a heart attack to think about it now, but at the time it was the coolest thing ever!
ReplyDeletenow seriously..you are KILLING me..LOVE it all!
ReplyDeleteThe truck reminds me of my uncle's Studebaker he used to race
I would make the cutest dog bed, then my furry BFF wouldn't sleep in my scrap basket!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! These would make an adorable little boy quilt. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteWe have two dogs, both are rescues. They are complete opposites in almost every way but they both love riding in the car!! (We love it too because they're always on their best behavior!)
ReplyDeleteWell! You did torture us.... but I sure forgive you since that fabric is so darn cute! Love the pickups. I have a few boy quilts to make and this is the perfect fabric.
ReplyDeletei have one dog, and he was my baby before i had babies! he's an italian greyhound named watley. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun line of fabric. I am thinking it would make a great little boy quilt. or maybe put a little into my big mans quilt I plan to make him.
ReplyDeleteLove the pickups! I'd definitely contribute this to my quilt groups stash for Project Linus charity quilts...it would be perfect for little boys!
ReplyDeleteWell I don't have a pooch, so this would be as near as I get, and I don't have a pick-up either!
ReplyDeleteI think the men in my life, hubby & son deserve something to counteract all the pink the twins are filling the house with!!
Thanks for the opportunity x
What a nice thot for Clara; if I win, I'll be thinking about her each time I use it.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd do with it? Make the cutest quilt ever for one of my grandsons.
Pretty darn cute !!! Id make a quilt or a tee shirt for my 6 year old nephew. He just got his own pooch!
ReplyDeletetiffany
tnappier84@gmail.com
I'd love to make a quilt for my 2 year old. He loves trucks and our puggle Bella!
ReplyDeleteI do love it, and thanks for the disclaimer. I have two Golden Retrievers that ride in the back seat of my car. They each think that they deserve the entire back seat for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI love love love this fabric. My dog was a constant in my life and I still miss him. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteThis fabric is great! It's nice to see such cute boy fabric. I have 2 friends having baby boys soon, so I'd make quilts for them.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get some yardage of these, because right away I wanted to make more boxers for my husband. He's building us a 54 Chevy truck (total restoration) and our dogs will be riding in the bed someday when it is done.
ReplyDeleteIf I got the fqs, I'd have to make another little quilt for his helper, our 2 yr old grandson, Tyler.
I will make quilts for each of my precious dogs' beds!
ReplyDeleteWow, so cute - another great collection. I would probably make some baby pants or bibs for my son.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pooch or a pickup, but love the fabric and the colors. Good job!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I have a new baby boy. I'm thinking pants and a matching quilt for floor time. Maybe a bucket hat...
ReplyDeleteMy youngest boy, Aidan, is absolutely consumed by both trucks and dogs. This would make the cutest carrying bag for his obsessions!
ReplyDeleteOohhh!!! Lunch bags for all!! These are so cute!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! I want a pooch and a pickup, but sadly have neither so fabric will have to do!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun fabric Laurie, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm declaring the summer of 2011 dressmaking summer, so I'd have to attempt a pair of shorts out of pooches and trucks for my little boy :-)
Oh my goodness, it was love at first sight for me and this fabric (well, I don't know how the fabric feels). I'd do a quilt, for sure.
ReplyDeletePet beds, clearly! (: Super cute fabric, I'm excited to finally see it!
ReplyDeleteI don't own a pooch or a pickup but I'd definitely like to own some of this fabric to make a vibrant quilt!
ReplyDeletesuper cute fabric. I'd likely make a quilt or a bib for my nephew...that is to be born any day now. My sister is overdue actually...
ReplyDeleteI think they'd make a lovely baby quilt for a boy - Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI am originally from small town Minnesota, where nearly everyone owns a pickup. When farmers came to town for coffee at the local cafe, the dogs came too, yippin' and a yappin' to each other, catching up on the latest gossip. Yep, mid-mornin' was a noisy time to take a trip down Main Street!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric and the memories it evokes!
I'd probably hang onto the fabrics until I have another friend preggo with a boy (they've all been girls lately) - the primary colors are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my son's favourite things...trucks and dogs!
ReplyDeleteLove these! Especially the spring colourway, definitely seeing s stroller quilt for my little guy!
Oh my gosh! Laurie! I think this is my favorite line, yet! :o) You always design SUCH adorable fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI will be buying some to make something for my sweet dad. He loves (and has a couple) restored Chevy trucks, and loves (and has a couple) pooches. It's SO hard to find good fabric for my dad, and this is PPPPPEEEEERRRRRFFFEEECCCCTTTT!!!!
Thanks, Laurie! I love it. :o)
So cute! My old yellow lab sleeps in the bed with my 3-year-old son, so I'd definitely make them a quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to make a baby boy quilt with these adorable fabrics. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric. I love dogs and know just what I would do with the fabric. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteCute fabric! I'd love to make a kids quilt out of this. :) Also linked the giveaway on my blog at http://www.craftbuds.com/giveaway-roundup/
ReplyDeleteI would embellish my son's clothes and make a bag for him. He's going to love this line!
ReplyDeleteI'd make a quilt for my nephew--he loves dogs and trucks.
ReplyDeleteI might have a hard time actually cutting into these so I can't say what I'd make. I did have the cutest dachshund growing up. She used to sulk when my dad returned from business trips. She would be so excited to hear his car and footsteps but as soon as he came in the house, she would go sit under the piano bench and very deliberately turn her back to the room. It always took at least ten minutes of cajoling and apologising to get her to come out and say hi to him!
ReplyDeleteHello Laurie,
ReplyDeleteCushions and covers for my furry inmates: Miss, Lipton, Petit Coeur and Chat (cat in French) and for me a dashing messenger bag to show off anywhere, here in Switzerland.
Tout est si joli, bravo Laurie !
Greetings
Maria
awww, i love it! i'd totally make a blanket that i could share with my snuggly westie, louie. :)
ReplyDeleteso fun! even the name evokes a smile! Our dog Izzi thinks she needs to ride to the post office with us! Barbi
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome follow up to Tufted Tweeds...I have my fats from that..I just can't cut into them yet! I have two Vizsla's, Tara and her baby Jake. We lost a Dalmatian to kidney stones about 14 years ago...still remember the sadness when he was gone. Lisa in Texas
ReplyDeleteAnother great collection Laurie! I have 2 boys (4 and 20 mo.) - I'd love to make a quilt for them as you can't get more BOY than pooches and pickups!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Pooches and Pickups! We have a family dog, who is a 12 year old Jack Russel. I've had her since before I met my husband and had kids, so the dog and I have some history and a great bond. I agree that it is unsafe for a dog to be in the back of a truck, but sometimes those big dogs just look so happy going for a ride in the wind! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are even better than I thought they would be - so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI've got a few baby quilts that I need to make, but I'd also like to use these for some cute shorts. Thanks for the chance in the giveaway :)
this has got to be the best "little boy" fabric EVER!! (although I do think 32 year old women will also love it!)
ReplyDeletemy son would LOVE a quilt out of this!!!!!
We have a 7yr old boxerxlab and she's lovely. Her name is Shelby and she was our baby before we had babies. We brought her home at 5 lbs and now she is a whopping 74 lbs!! she adores our kids and is a grand protector.
She has lovely sad eyes, loves a good scratch and tucks in her upper lip like Elvis!
she's a keeper :)
My two pooches (a border collie and a chocolate lab) tell me that I should make them bandannas if I win the fabric. Phooey on them! Much too cute to let them muck it up in the yard!! But my daughter is in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia, and this would make such a cute little boy quilt (if it's a boy!)
ReplyDeletegreat fabric! i'd love to use it in a quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect for a quilt for my brother and sister-in-law. They have 5 dogs and a pickup truck. Needless to say, they love dogs. Wonderful design, and I'd love to win. Kathie L in Allentown
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I LOVE this line! It is fantastic! Wouldn't this make a great dog bed? And he could dream of riding around in a pickup all evening :)
ReplyDeleteNice buns in your boxers! I have a dog with legs short enough that he wouldn't be able to see over the box of a pick up...he's an obnoxious miniature dachshund named Flynn. If you ever came to my front door, you'd swear there was a killer doberman behind it, then you'd bust up laughing when you saw all 12 lbs of terror barking at you. We love doxies for their personality....we just weren't counting on quite so much of it! Thanks for sharing your fun fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love the pickups! And the yellow dogs look like my golden retrievers - an old-man red colored one named Magnus and a big, fluffy, light-colored one named Hampshire. The fluffy one does well with the stereotypes typical of blonds.
ReplyDeleteI would make a sportsbag for my 5-year old.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the truck fabric!
Thanks for the chance to win some fq's!
-Corine
I LOVE these fabrics! :D I am really into baby quilts these days, and I would love to make one for my pup, Mieko, who prefers to sleep under a blanket. Since he's black and white, he would look great against these graphic prints.
ReplyDeleteMy 5 year old son saw this page open and said 'wicked! can i have a quilt in that mum?' so there's our answer, he loves anything with an engine and we have a lovely rescue dog BUSTER (Lurcher/Wiemeraner cross) who you can see here: http://craftsfromkaren.blogspot.com/search/label/Buster
ReplyDeleteCricket was our family dog. He was the most reliable time keeper I've ever met. Every afternoon at 3.15 he'd move to the front door to watch for the paper boy. Then he'd bark to let us know when the paper was delivered... out he'd run, and bring it in. For a wee biscuit of course :) He was quite disgruntled when Mum and Dad stopped getting the paper delivered. He was our best friend for 18 years.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win some FQ's. Is this fabric going to be available in a laminate? It would make the cutest wee raincoats.
Such cute fabric! My girl Beatrice is really hoping we'll buy a truck so she can ride in the back with the wind in her nose. But seeing as how she keeps ringing up giant vet bills, I think we're stuck with our 2 door hatch back!
ReplyDeleteWould LOVE to win some of this. My husband is totally obsessed with labs. I want to say I'd use it for a baby quilt, but it might end up as a quilt for our own sweet Lab....
ReplyDeleteWould make a great quilt!
ReplyDeletea baby quilt or jammies for my son! My pooch is no longer with us, but she lasted 11 years and she was a wonderful dog!
ReplyDeleteMGM
I love this in both colourways. I don't know exactly the design but I think I'd make a tote bag and a small zippy bag or two to go inside it.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric! Charlie, our black lab, knows when my husband puts on his jeans that it is Saturday morning and time to go riding in the pick up!! He won't let him out of his sight for fear that he'll miss his chance to go for a ride. I may just have to make him a new dog bed out of this fabric!
ReplyDeleteHappy, fun fabric! Bound to make anything look great - very much reminds me of my black lab Newman, who adores car rides. He's my best co-pilot!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I would make a lap quilt for my son, have made one for the rest of the family, but have not found the right fabric for his yet. This would suit perfectly!
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite things: pickups and pooches! Thanks for the chance to win. Beautiful fabric!
ReplyDeleteWow I love the fabric and the fact that it's about you and your pooch "Clara" Such a sweet and beautiful idea, in memory for her :) My little boy Max would totally love the fabric as he is totally nuts about pickup trucks and dogs... well basically anything with four wheels or legs really but he would love it! I'm thinking duvet cover or maybe pillows that he can drag around with him :)
ReplyDeletei love the prints so much! two of my coworkers are expecting baby boys this summer, so i'd love to make some receiving blankets and matching bibs and wash cloths for them!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs remind me of my black lab that I'm sure would have enjoyed a ride in a pickup!
ReplyDeleteA cute patchworky pillowcase for my son would be soo nice with these fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThis cute fabric might find it's way into a baby quilt for a new grandniece/nephew due this summer. The fabric is so cute. Thanks for the fun giveaway.
ReplyDeleteoooo i would definately love to make something for my kids! We had a golden lab growing up and just before Christmas she had to be put down because she was so old (16!!)...i keep her tag and photo hanging in my sewing room so i can always remember all the fun we had!
ReplyDeleteThis line is adorable! I too had a lovely black pooch who loved to ride... I would for sure make a variety of things with the fabric including but not limited to pillow, quilt, tote/diaper bag, and baby pants.
ReplyDeleteSuch happy fabric - I would make my godson a cute quilt with this! thanks
ReplyDeletebutler83ataoldotcom
Oh, wow, so cute !!! I would make the wee boy a backpack or messenger bag as his has just broke. Then some zip up pouches.
ReplyDeleteMy pooch is a long haired white westie maltese cross with a very happy disposition as long as I walk him daily. If I don't the cushions are off the couch day one, day 2 the stuffing is out of the oldest one so cute material for a new cushion would be a hoot
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do without our dogs?... My beagle curls up on his cushion in the sewing room whenever I am in there and my chihuahua would rather sit on my lap at the machine! Life is better with a dog around. Love your fabric....cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteI will tell you about my pooch. He is very bad and certainly does not deserve for me to make him anything from this fabric. My two little boys are equally as mischevious though and they probably don't deserve it either. Hmmm. Perhaps I could make a harness that would fit all three of them at once.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get this fabric. I want to make a quilt for my 6 year old son. Also, we have a 9 month old, 80 lb, lab/bulldog mix, so this would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make the quilt on oh! Fransons blog. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this. I can just see some awesome baby boy items made from this. I'm seeing cute bedding, blankets, pants, shirts, ANYTHING! It is just TOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI think the puppies are cute. I would make a baby quilt.
ReplyDeleteSupercute! My Golden Retriever, Tucker, would never even think of getting into the back of a truck. Ha! He sits gracefully inside the car, on the back seat, allowing the breeze to waft over him from the open window. Ummm, spoiled?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to use this fabric as a slipcover for one of his dog beds. :O)
I love this great fabric! I have three boys, and they would love some cute little boy size button up shirts I think. That would be adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the opening picture, I thought, Oh no! Not in the bed of a truck! So THANK YOU so much for the warning! I worked as a vet tech at an emergency clinic for almost 5 years, and I BEG everyone to never, ever put their dog in the bed. Not even tied (that is dangerous too!). A great compromise if you have a truck with a small cab is a big plastic crate secured with a motorcycle ratchet tie-down! :)
The fabric is super cute Laurie! I would probably use the fabric for a cute baby boy quilt :)
ReplyDeleteThe cutest boy fabric ever! Our dogs will do nearly anything for a ride. We can barely put on shoes/boots because they are trying to help so that they can go quicker.
ReplyDeletewhat cute fabric. I'd love to make a quilt for my godson.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. I can't wait to use them in a project. I think I would make a wallet for my nephews and use some in a few blocks in their soon to be made quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is adorable. I would probably make a bed quilt for my youngest grandson. They have relocated back here to Australia, much to my delight, after almost 10 years in the USA. Big smile here....I am so glad i stumbled on this...the fabric ranges are so so sweet...thank you for the chance at this giveaway x
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking baby shorts and bibs for my boy and a new tote for me - another fabulous design :-)
ReplyDeleteMy little man is off to his first camp in June and I'd love to rustle him up a wash kit bag in your gorgeous fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric! We have five dogs: a mama and her babies. The mama dog was adopted from a shelter, and turned out to be pregant...eight years later, we couldn't be happier with our big family. :) Two of our dogs look like the pooch on your fabric, which would make winning an especial delight. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletewordygirl at earthlink dot net
I would like to try and sew something for my best friend's new baby, perhaps some cute diaper covers or incorporate the fabric into a play mat.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a dog but have wanted one for ages and ages. I'm hoping to get one next year once I'm done with graduate school and live somewhere dog friendly. :)
I just received my HUGE order from your etsy store in the post today and it is just so BEAUTIFUL. I love it! It would be greedy of me to enter your competition so if am the lucky one, can you please redraw.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute fabric! My adorable Holly was a beagle, always running with her nose to the ground following scents on fantastic adventures! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOooo, I'd love to make a quilt for one of my nephews! This solves the dilema of what boyish fabric to use :)
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love your work, what a kind giveaway. I would make little canvases for my friends house that she is decorating at the moment, i think she'd love them (i'd keep sneaky samples for me though) maybe make some words in my sketch book!
x
ooo- I'm thinking a tiered twirl dress for my daughter- she loves her puppy and papa truck just about the same!
ReplyDeleteNice work again! I would like to make some summer napkins to take picnicking.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous prints again! I would love to make a new bed for my Irish Setter/Chihuahua mix Brodie with some of this!!
ReplyDeleteMy pooches also ride in my car....I've got a Westie and a Scottie...black & white! We call them The Travelling Dogs, they both love to feel the wind in their faces out the windows, and when they are tired they both squeeze up in that area behind the rear seat headrests and lay in the sun.
ReplyDeletemichelletripper(at)yahoo(dot)ca
Wonderful fabric. I have a grown son who is restoring a 57 red Chevy truck, so I would have to make something for him and his son, Arlo (who loves to dwive the twuck!)
ReplyDeleteJust found you via Print ande Pattern... Love love LOVE this fabric - it's so cute! Well for designing something that really made me smile and brightened up my luchtime.
ReplyDeleteI have a greyhound called Millie who loves to curl up in the boot of our car (we have a hatchback, so she's not shut in!). She hates the backseat and always tries to hide under the front seats, which isn't easy for a big dog! You'd never catch her with her head out of the window because she's a scaredy mutt :)
Wow, I love this fabric!!! My 3 year old grandsons room will soon be transformed into a big boy room. I would love to make him a quilt for his bed and storage baskets for his books and yes, cars and trucks using this fabric. We have a chocolate lab (Lucy) that loves, loves, loves, to ride with me in the car. My grandson has a big black dog named Maggie that he loves dearly. Did I mention that I am in love with this fabric? Sure hope I win!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis fabric is SO fun, I just love it! And in a heartbeat I would make a quilt for Hubble, our year-old Coton de Tulear. He loves our bed quilt and I've been promising him one of his own and this fabric would be perfect! He is always up for a ride in the car and we could take his new quilt along. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletethis is perfect fabric to make a little boy quilt. I love the prints so much!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for making something masculine!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Thanks for the disclaimer- dogs in pick-up beds make me so nervous. I would certainly add this fabric to the quilt I am designing called "my favorite things" your Donkey in wellies is already going in there along with some other contemporary, more "adult" novelty fabrics (like Opal Owl by Tina Givens)
ReplyDeleteMy Boston, Myles, and Frenchie Mix, Quinn, are my sewing room companions and love to "ride along!" They even know the sound of a deposit slip being torn out of the book means a ride to the bank and treats from the drive through! Thanks-
WowowowowoW! That looks just like my labs Jig and Buzz- the Saw brothers as they are lovingly known!!! I MUST HAVE this FABRIC!!!!! Love it! You did good girl!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through Lucends and I love the fabric. I have 3 pugs (all rescues) and one 6 year old human boy. He would love something with this fabric. A chance to win is great.
ReplyDeleteI love these fabrics! They'd be so fun to make something for my son who loves vroom vrooms (cars) and woof woofs (dogs). I'd probably make him a messenger bag and some little drawstring tote bags.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics! They would make a great little boy's quilt. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletegreat colors and great concept! we love our lab a lot, and she has been so great with our son! she has also been great for him- now he knows how to act around animals, and if he gets to pet them, he is very gentle and careful!
ReplyDeleteMore great designs! How do you do it!? My Westie approves :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a yellow Lab named Phoebe. We still miss her.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pooches in pick ups. Would make a fine lap quilt to stow in our pick up...for picnics or around our shoulders while we watch the stars in the back of the truck.
Thanks for a chance at this generous give away!
I LOVE this fabric! I'd probably make a pillow case or two for my husband. It will make us think of our Buddy dog who's in doggy heaven with your Clara.
ReplyDeleteMy dog's name is Otter. He is a beagle and soooooo sweet. He loves pillows and would love one with dogs on it... he told me!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win some of this fabric so that I could make my dog a mat to hold his food and water bowls. The fabric is so cute!
ReplyDeleteNo dog now, but I grew up with golden retrievers and think they are the best! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric. I love dogs so much. I had an American Bulldog as my childhood pet and I miss her very much. I hope someday to get a dog when I have more space!
ReplyDeleteJust adorable, I can't wait to add it to my stash. Gosh, I love your designs. :-)
ReplyDeleteAww..this fabric is even sweeter when you know how it came about :)
ReplyDeleteI know tons of little boys (& a couple of girls) who love anything puppies & trucks! I would probably make a couple little quilts, maybe one for my own playroom, where a cat will surely nap on it!
As always you have outdone yourself! How do you consistently top the last design? I love these fabrics.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of our dear, departed 13 years now, Black Lab, Travellor, who loved to ride and GO!
Love this design, Laurie! No dog here, just cats and chickens...your next design inspirations?
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you are too darn good! These are fantastical prints! I would whip out a little pouch blanket in no time with these bad boys!
ReplyDeleteCrossing my fingers!

Oh, so so cute!!!! I know my four year old grandson would love his grandma making him a pillowcase or some summer shorts! His little sister would say "me too, grandma!" And their soon to be three cousin would ooo and ah over the pooches as well, since she has a doggy. Grandma would be really busy sewing for the four grandkidlets! Over the years we had several dogs, Mercedes, Missy and Freckles who loved to take brief (safe) rides in the back of our pickups.
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! I cannot wait to get a hold of these fabrics! I also drive a station wagon (love it) but my pooch, Olive the standard poodle, HATES to ride in cars. She gets car sick, poor baby. But we go on plenty of walks to make up for it. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric, love it! Would use for a boy quilt. I have a wonderful dog who is starting to get old (12 human years, sniff). My daughter calls Molly the dog her sister.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to make a quilt for my soon to be 3 year old great nephew.
ReplyDeleteI would make a blanket for my soon to arrive grandbaby! My daugthter is decorating the room in a puppy motif. This would be PERFECT!!
ReplyDeleteConnie
I would love to make a cute quilt for my little nephew!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute fabric! I would make a quilt for a little boy I know.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely LOVE to make a quilt for the newest addition to our family due in September. I 'm having strong feelings its going to be a boy!
ReplyDeleteI know just what I'll make, I have minke sitting here waiting for the right top fabric for a blanket for my baby boy due in late July. I am still missing my best brown boy, who left my side about a year ago, and I still smile when I think of his head sticking out my side window when we drove anywhere. Just that thought makes me laugh and cry. he was a good boy!
ReplyDeleteCute design, I'd love to make a quilt for my cousin's son, who just got a new black lab.
ReplyDeleteFun shorts for my boy!! Thank you SO MUCH for designing some boy-friendly fabric. I have a really hard time finding boyish stuff. This is super cute.
ReplyDeleteWe have a very, very sweet pooch named Lucy, a border collie mix from the pound who is the best dog ever. :)
The fabric would be wonderful for baby burp cloths to gift new mamas!
ReplyDeleteLove the pooches and big pickups! I think I'd have to make a lap quilt and pillows!
ReplyDeletelaurie, I absolutely love all of your fabric, I can't wait to see what you come up with next! I would love to create something fun with pooches and pickups like a fun grocery bag!
ReplyDeleteYour fabric is so wonderful. I have made great kids hoodies out of them!
ReplyDeleteI would make this fabric into a quilt for my grandaughter when she visits Grammy's house. She loves her Papa's vintage pickup and her Grammy's yellow lab. Awesome fabric!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to make a doggie bed for my sweet nephew-dog Jake, who is a black lab. SUCH cute fabric! :)

ReplyDeleteI would make a cute pillow!!!
My life is full of dogs. (I am so lucky.) I would make a throw for my therapy dog, Ranger, and I to sit on with one of Ranger's reading students at the elementary school.
ReplyDeleteWe sell organic produce at our local farmers' market where I also sell children's clothing and accessories. A big seller is my baby bibs and burpcloths. I would love to make little boy bibs and burpcloths and maybe even a car pillow to match from these terrific truck fabrics, since little boys seem to get the shaft when it comes to stylish duds. Thanks for a great giveaway.

I'm one of eleven children, four of whom are married with children to give us a total of 3 girls and 8 boys!!! So I'm always looking for cute fabric for boys to make boys just as cute as the girls!
ReplyDeleteoh laurie - don't actually send me the fabric because I'll be buying some bolts of it, but I just wanted to say... I LOVE IT! (and thanks for adding me on flickr... you made my week!)

Love the fabric! I would like to make a little jacket or pants for my son. Or perhaps a little blanket for him. He is just 3 months old so lots of options!
ReplyDeleteI would make a throw to remind me of the red vintage pickup my husband used to own. I have a small dog that always jumps up when she sees me pull out a quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your new fabrics!!!
ReplyDeletei would love to make some cute shirts/pants for my 4 month old son!
ReplyDeleteI think I just want to make those shorts! Or some other type of clothing for boys...
ReplyDeleteDear Laurie,
ReplyDeleteI have loved all your fabric designs right from the start. You are a great designer. How you come up with ones that top the last, it's just amazingly cute! I would like to make Elizabeth's Birthday Cake quilt if I could win some of your fab fabrics. I loved the bright colors as soon as I saw it. Thanks for a chance. Always gratefully, Luba
So cute! I would make some baby quilts out of these prints. It is so hard to find cute boy fabrics.

I would make a quilt for our couch just to snuggle up with our puppy dogs!! We have two pooches - Sandy (a Lhaso Apso) and Minus (a St. Bernard).
ReplyDeleteFabulous new range - so nice to have a boys range that's not red white & blue!
ReplyDeleteI'd make a shirt for my nephew Charlie - he's almost 2 and love "wuffs" (dogs!)
This fabric reminds me of my doggie! I love the colors and the designs. So fun and cute! Perfect for a quilt for our black couch. Can't wait till the fabric is available for purchase!
ReplyDeleteMy dog was a stray that I adopted when he was about a year and a half old. He has some terrible ingrained habits - like chasing trucks on the highway - not all of them, just the ones he selects. He loves riding in the car with me or the truck with DH though. Your fabric is cute. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a doggy bed with your new super cute line. I love the blues greens and browns.
ReplyDeleteLove this fabric - I can see quilts for my grandsons made out of it!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win!

ReplyDeleteDespite cushions being my first thought, these prints are far too cute to stay in the house - I'd most definitely make a skirt and wear it with pickup and poochy pride!!
ReplyDeleteThe colour combos are perfect - such a great job :)

i'll totally make a sun dress...to take my pit bull mix puppy on a walk. i'm sure you'd love her. she's crazy. and thinks she's a person. and sleeps on my bbq when she's in the backyard. and has learned to open cabinets, steal loaves of bread, and leave the wrapper where she found it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the change to win luck fabulous fabric! I would make something for my nefews, I have been thinking of quilted iPod cases as they are boys and break things. lol. Thank you again and congrats on another great line!
ReplyDeleteDarling fabric! I've only one old very sweet Golden Retriever, but my husband has loved his trucks since the day we got married (one was with us for almost 30 years before I got him to replace it). Your vintage truck reminds me of my grandpa's old truck that I used to play on. So yes, I love your fabric! (I feel bad for your station wagon though--it must be so jealous!) I'd probably use the fabric to make something for Father's Day for my dad who also has a truck and a huge black lab. Both dogs (gold & black) adore him, so your fabric is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous fabric! I would probably make something for one of my sons if I were to win. We have always been a dog oriented family and the breed we have owned the most of and the longest is Corgis. Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThat would have to become a shared quilt in my house. Kid+Dog+Quilt = cuddly movie watching goodness. The tot loves dogs and "tucks"... this line is perfect!
A quilt for my son featuring those red trucks would definitely be in order!
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric!! Now about my poochies - we have an outdoor dog that's a golden retriever named Cowboy. He's really laid back. And we have an indoor dog that's Shih Tzu/Maltese named Carter - he's a goof and a half! Thanks for the giveaway chance!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a quilt for my other half who seems to missed when all the quilting is done, he sits all cold beside me on the couch helping me design all my other quilts..it would be fun to do one in secret. Thank you for the opportunity, Your fabric is marvelous!
ReplyDeletelove the new fabric! so adorable and as a mom to 1 boy & due to have another of the male sex in a couple of months, i would hope to make something fun for each of my boys. pj bottoms or grab bags to haul their gear around. :) thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteYour new fabric line is adorable. I have two grandsons that I'm sure I could make something for :) Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute!
ReplyDeleteI have the most adorable pug named Scrubs...
he just loves me with all his big heart and eyes!
I enjoy him so much, we have discussed maybe another pug.
I love your fabric and you story, thank you for this wonderful chance to win some!
I would like to use the fabric to make a quilt for an orphan for our church quilt ministry. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I would make my nephew a quilt, pillow and or lovey out of it.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pooch - the only pet we have is a Goliath Stick Insect! His cage might like a bit of the green pooch fabric around the base. His favourite colour is eucalyptus green. I think the rest of the fabric could be used for toys and building blocks. If you sew them around the big heavy wooden blocks, they won't be so noisy when they get knocked over.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking some pillow cases, or something like that.
ReplyDeleteA cool boys jacket is what I would make.
ReplyDeleteCute lil' boys pants or a neat pillow. Love my pooches I have a mini schnauzer and an anatolian shepard/ bernese mountain dog. They look like mut and Jeff! :^)
ReplyDeleteOur dog passed away recently and loved to go on car rides as well. Love the fabrics. I'd probably do a baby quilt for an expecting friend.
ReplyDeleteThis is such cute fabric. We live on an island where everyone seems to have either a dog or a pick- up and most people have both! I would love to win this fabric to make a lap quilt for the a family member who have three dogs.
ReplyDeleteI would make a tote bag and new pet bed for my older neighbor and her dog. She is on a fixed income and we try to help her keep her dog without giving anything up for herself. thank you for the fabulous fabric and the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI really like your newest line! I promise not to let my dog ride in the back of a pickup, if I had a pickup... Thanks for the chance to win. This would be sooo cute for my grandson!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the dogs in the back of the truck (in theory, not practice). We have 2 goldens and look so cute in the back of our truck for pictures but they've never ridden there much to my husband's dismay. I would make shorts for my son who is obsessed with dogs and trucks--they would be patchwork with big pockets (because at 3, everything must have big pockets for those rocks that seem to be everywhere). Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a tiny yorkie/chihuahua mix but my mom kept her when I moved! :) now I have a little son who needs a quilt with these fabrics!
