Day 10 of 12 Goodie Giveaway

Well we're in the home stretch now! Only 3 more little piles of fabric on my shelf all bundled up and ready to go live with you.

  2. hmmm... here's hoping they'd be good layers and the perfect way to start my backyard flock. I daydream about having chickens and a cute little coop in the backyard. Someday...

  8. Three French hens...I love France, everything about it, so I would feel a little closer to France by having these hens in the yard. I have always dreamed of having chickens, so that we could have fresh eggs everyday, three would be perfect!

  12. 3 french hens - kind of like the saying teach them to fish - hens lay eggs and Easter is coming - I think a hen house would be good!

  16. Three French Hens? Well I'd use the eggs to make lots of lovely food. And name the hen's Mimi, Yvette and Chantal and keep them in my garden. I've always wanted to keep chickens!

  20. I've been wanting some chickens, so I'd build a coop and keep them for eggs. We'd have frittata every Saturday, and I'd give away the extra eggs to Food Gatherers.

  23. 3 French Hens would have a lovely townhouse coop in my backyard and an opportunity to weed my garden of it's many Summer bugs. In exchange for this lovely life I'd hope for some eggs.

  36. I'd get in as much practice as possible - we're hoping to visit France this summer and I'm a little rusty on the Francais! Oh, I might knit them up tiny hen-sized matching berets, too. Just for fun.

  60. I think 3 French Hens would be very posh, I think they would need their own castle..they would probably have little parasols..little pillbox hats...little bows around their necks and they would chatter all day.

  72. I would give the hens to my daughter. She lives on an island and is going to be building a hen house this spring so they can have fresh eggs. Three French hens would be a good start. Love the selvedge on your new fabric. So cute.

  73. I was going to say I'd keep 2 for eggs and 1 for dinner, but I think my next door neighbour has 2 hens that live near my bedroom window so maybe I'll just keep the 3 to outdo the noise of hers! (childish? yes!)

  83. My grandmother used to have a chicken coop in her yard when she was growing up, and she's told me stories of the hens laying eggs, so maybe that's I'd do with the 3 French hens. Thank you for the giveaway!

  91. I'd take photos of them and use the photos to inspire a quilt to remember the hens. Then I'd take them to a farmer to raise, as I couldn't really keep them where I live.

  97. I would keep them! I have always wanted chickens!! I had four in high school, Lucy and Ethel and Bert and Ernie :) Their names really suite their coloring too :) Lucy was red, Ethel white, Bert was a blondish color and Ernie was a more bronze color.

  120. With three French hens, I would photograph them and play with the images, print my own fabric and make some chicken quilts. I would try to paint them for note cards and I would knit them tiny sweaters. Really, I would. But I would have to give them to my brother so he can start his retirement hobby farm. We are deed restricted from chickens and roosters! I find that funny.
