Day 12 of 12 Goodie Giveaway

Whew! We made it! Today's the last day of the Goodie Giveaway!

Via random number, the winner of the day 11 giveaway was #90, Gwen, Congrats!!
Are turtle doves a mix between that oh-so-delicious Turtles candy and Dove Chocolates?... If so, I'd eat 'em up!!! ;-) But if we're talking about turtle DOVES-- the bird kind--- I'd release them to join in with all the other doves that live here and feed on our bird feeder! I'm sure they'd fit right in! :-)

And while you guys comment in this final day of the giveaway, I'll be going back through all of the comments from all 12 days and will be putting together 'our'version of the song. It will feature some of my favorite comments from our 12 Giveaway days together. I think it could be pretty funny. Or totally dorky. Probably a good helping of both. :)

But while that's going on, here's the final piece of loot for the day 12 giveaway - a Modern Whimsy FQ pack in Meadow.

  • To be registered to win, just leave a comment here on this post.
  • Please make sure you I have a way to contact you
  • Entries from around the world welcome!! I'm happy to ship your prizes to wherever you might be.
  • In your comment tell me what you'd do with one partridge in a pear tree
Good luck! And see you tomorrow for the announcement of the Day 12 winner and our song.

  1. I would plant that pear tree right outside my sewing room window so I could see beautiful nature as I sew. And maybe the partridge and I would become good friends.

  3. I'd probably feed the partridge - I have the tendency to feed things I find adorable ;)

  4. I would put it in my front room and have fun looking at it. :)

  5. Oh, I love pears so I'd plant the tree in my yard...but I'd tell that partridge he better find a safer place to hang out because we have a HUGE red tail hawk that I think would see that fat partridge as a nice meal!

  6. I would love the pear tree! If the partridge came with the deal, I guess I'll take him too...as long as he lives outside.

  7. Partridges are good to eat aren't they? With a yummy pear sauce on top. Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I would make a meal out of pear sauce over partridge. For some reason that sounds delicious. And of course plant the pear tree so we can eat pears.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I would photograph the partridge in a pair tree, print the photos on fabric and make some cute holiday pillows. I'd then plant the tree outside my window and decorate it with some pretty white lights.

  10. All I'm thinking about is curiosity over how a partridge tastes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would let the partridge go free and plant the tree!

    ReplyDelete
  12. If it's David Partridge I hope he can still sing!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hummm...well I love pears and I am sure roasting a partridge with a pear sauce would be lovely!

    ReplyDelete
  14. We have a very busy bird feeder in our yard, so I'm sure the partridge would feel right at home. I would love to have a pear tree and smell the sweet blossoms in the spring and taste the pears in the fall. Perhaps, the partridge will eat the pears and get so fat that I'd have to eat him on Christmas Eve. This comment definitely took a wrong turn.

  15. Sad to say, but it would probably be a new toy for my cat...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well 'stuff it' springs immediately to mind!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, I'd love the pear tree! As for the bird, I'd probably set him free.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think I would roast the partridge, plant the pear tree and make pear jam. My family loves it. A pear sauce on the partridge would also be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'd set that puppy up in my kitchen! My kitchen theme is pears and everything pear green. And the partridge? Eh, I guess he can stay too.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, I'd set it free, I think. That's just me...thanks for the giveaway!

  21. I'm with Sonia B.--roasted partridge with spiked pear sauce sounds mighty tasty! Sorry Mr. Partridge!

    ReplyDelete
  22. The pear tree would be right at home in our orchard and the partridge well he'd better fly away because it's the shooting season here and I'd hate for anything to happen to him!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I would plant the pear tree in my yard free fruit yay. And set the partridge free. Thanks

  24. I'd definitely plant that tree in our backyard so I could enjoy the pears! LOVE pears! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm sure I'd eat the pears and I'd be pretty tempted to eat the partridge too. Although I'm guessing that if he heard me singing this version of the 12 days of Christmas he'd get as far away as possible :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've always wanted a beautiful pear tree and the partridge gets a pardon from the pot around here. Thanks for the fun giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If it were one of the Partridge Family, I'd wear some earplugs every time I went out to pick pears.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pear trees are so pretty! I'd definitely keep that to plant at our new house. The partridge would be free to come and go....but hopefully he would stop by for Christmas every year!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I would eat the pears and leave the Partridge to be!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would give the partridge to friends who have a small aviary and send the pear tree to my brother as it's not the best climate here for pears. But, he could send us some each year! :-) Where we used to live, our neighbors' dogs would eat the pears right off of our trees but only when they were just ripe for picking. How did they know!?!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Roast partridge sounds like it's in order here - and maybe a pear crumble with custard to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'd plant it at my parents place so we could all enjoy the pears. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'd plant the tree outside my house and the partridge is welcome to stay!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dang - I love pears, so I'd have that tree right outside my sewing room. To keep the partridge away from the tree, I'd create a nice homey spot IN my sewing room. Hopefully, it's song would be pretty enough to listen to "up close & personal!" :)

  35. he better not peck the pears !!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. We will plant the pear tree in our orchard so the partridge can sit in many trees and look out over the field. After all, a partridge in a pear tree will enjoy seeing his animal friends cavorting on Modern Whimsy in the Meadow. Please give me the chance to see this KOOL scene. Thanks for the 12 days of giveaways - it's fun.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'd send the partridge back to his Partridge Famiy so he'd stop snacking on the pears on my tree!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'd keep the pear tree for my backyard, and let that partridge go be a free bird.

  39. Can I have the pears and not the partridge? I have no idea what I would do with one!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I love pears but since I am in a fairly cold climate I think the pear tree would have to live in my kitchen. The partridge would stay as long as it promised to be quiet... otherwise I have an excellent recipe for partridge pie.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'd be especially excited about the tree! I really want a fruit tree. I'd get the partridge to toss down the pears at the top of the tree!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ooh well, first I'd take every single one of those pears off that tree so that darned Partridge can't eat any more. Then I'd make Pear tortes with puff pastry and send them all to work with hubby for his coworkers to eat.. YUM
And then that Partridge? Didn't he used to be on a really colorful bus and sing? Wonder why he left that gig and landed in that tree anyway. I always thought they had fun riding that bus all over the country singing as a family. Hmmmmmm Oh well. Guess he left when their show got cancelled and took over that tree.

I am just SURE he'd taste like chicken. I think he might end up as a Partridge Pot Pie. Yea, say that three times fast. HA

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'd find a nice spot to put my pear tree and let the partridge live in it. He'd have to share the pears though!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would plant the tree in my father's orchard and let the partridge stay there eating as much as she likes.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If I had One Partridge in a Pear Tree...............I would just let him hang out and enjoy himself. Maybe introduce him/her to some new friends.

    ReplyDelete
  46. A partridge in a pear tree can hang out as long as he likes :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I would steal a pear for me and my daughter and have a picnic under it the tree (hopefully the partridge won't leave us any presents)!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'd feed the partridge...whatever they eat...and harvest some pears for a lovely Christmas pear tart.

    ReplyDelete
  49. When I was a kid my grandparents had a couple pear trees and I loved climbing them and picking the fruit! I don't remember there being any partridges though. I would plant the tree for the partridge to live in and I would enjoy the tree's fruit. I'd skip the tree climbing part.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I would plant the tree and enjoy fresh pears. The partridge could stay, but he'd be free to go too....

    ReplyDelete
  51. If I had one partridge in a pear tree, I would find a place inside to put the tree so it would get enough light to make yummy pears. I'm afraid, however, that either the cat or the two children would harm the bird, so I might have to set it free.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I would adopt him as a pet as I do not a pet - a partridge would be just fine.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think I'd get him another partridge so he wouldn't be alone at Christmas!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. i'd pick some of the pears and cut them up for the partridge and us all to share!

    ReplyDelete
  55. In my dream world, I'd have an indoor greenhouse where I could plant the tree and let the partridge fly around. :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'd definitely love a pear tree in my backyard, and the bird can do whatever. I wouldn't force him to stay.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I would shoo the bird away and then eat some pears. Mmmmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I would love a pear tree, as for the bird, he could just sit and sing his pretty tune (do partridges have a pretty tune?). Thanks for the chance, it's been fun entering the 12 days giveaways! Merry Christmas!

    ReplyDelete
  59. This has been a HOOT! As for what I would do with a partridge in a pear tree, I would be stoked to have a pear tree and the partridge would just be an added bonus of beauty.

    ReplyDelete
  60. A pear tree would be wonderful - we love pears!....and the partridge would be most welcome in our giant outdoor aviary where we have the calling birds and the turtledoves.

    ReplyDelete
  61. We can always do with another fruit tree (three growing tummies to fill equals copious amounts of fruit), so the partridge could live in it in our garden :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'd gladly plant that pear tree and let that cute birdie stay as long as he likes! Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I would google planting and growing a pear tree , enlist the help of my hubby, and try to keep it alive. LOL I have a black thumb so to speak. Thankfully hubbies thumb is much greenier than mine so hopefully come spring or whenever they bloom we would still have a tree and the partridge would still have a home.;)

Thank you for your wonderful 12 days!!! It has been really fun. Thank you for a chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm a birdwatcher so I think I'd plant the pear tree by the front window and see just what a partridge does while I snack on some pears! Sure enjoyed your 12 days! Happiest of holidays to you and yours!

  65. And a partridge in a pear tree.
Just got to tell you about my little friend Trey. At Sunday School on Sunday = he sang a new rendition of the 12 days of Christmas. Perfectly in tune and time - but just a bit confused on the words. Here goes
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
    4 crunched hens,
    3 turtle ducks,
    2 lords a leaping,
and a Poodledop in a pear tree.
He sang this portion of the song over and over and louder every time (this was during free play so he could sing loudly if he wanted to)... and every time - he'd jump from the 1st day to the 4th.
Now that is my new song. I chuckle to myself as I think about it.
SO - a partridge in a pear tree - will never be the same again.
thanks for the chance to win.
Hope I have warmed your heart as much as Trey did mine :)

  66. We already have 2 pear trees so it would need to be planted near them to take advantage of the cross pollination; I'm afraid the partridge would be dinner

    ReplyDelete
  67. I would probably snap a picture of it sitting in a pear tree. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Is a Partridge like a Mourning Dove? If so I've got tons of them around, but it's the squirrels that get all the pears around here so their really better off in the other commentators gardens!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Only one? We must add another to make a pair.

    ReplyDelete
  70. If I had a partridge in a pear tree, I would have to build sturdy cage for it to protect it from the hungry hawks in the skies around here.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'd take it as a sign that many blessings are being bestowed upon me. Then, I would feed and enjoy watching the patridge, and I'd can the pears to share with family and friends.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I would be thrilled to have a pear tree in my yard! And the accompanying partridge could make itself right at home here on the farm. Thanks for sharing the fun and the treats during this holiday season.

    ReplyDelete
  73. The pear tree would be very welcome. It can join the apple and plum! Yummy! The partridge will find lots of company in the yard because we have a flock of quail that live here. Partridges are in the family, but a little bigger, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The partridge would make a perfect Christmas eve meal. And as a desert a pear with ice cream :)
    Susanne

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'd invite the partridge to stay put in his tree and pose for me--every year I intend to make a "first day of Christmas wall-hanging" and this might be the impetus I need to actually get it done.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The partridge can stay in the pear tree and be decorative.

    ReplyDelete
  77. The partridge can stay in the tree, and the pears I'll eat.

A partridge in a pear tree would sing each morning and evening with her special call. Merry Christmas Lauren. Have a wonderful holiday season!

My daughter won the ostrich pillows and we both love your site and always talk about your talent and projects.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I would plant the pear tree and allow the partridge to live in. Perfect combination!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I have the perfect spot in the lawn right outside the sewing room window for the pear tree. The partridge would need to find a mate and they could live happily ever after in the pear tree. ♥

Thanks for the fun giveaway posts!

  81. I can just taste the canned pears I would make from the pear tree :) The partridge would have a permanent home to stay in and watch over my bounty :)
