Mary on Lake Pulaski said...

I'd have all eleven of the pipers help me make piping for the Christmas pillows I am making for gifts! I don't like making piping and if they all helped, I'd be finished in no time!

Hmm, not sure what I'd do with 11 pipers piping but I would probably end up with a headache :)

diana said...

You know, I gave it a lot of thought and decided 12 days [well, 11 left] is a lot of time. And since english is not my first language and I don't really get the jokes :D, I thought I'd tell you a story. In 10 episodes :D

This one is supposed to be the pilot but, you see, it's my first story, so we'll consider I warned you today and will come back tomorrow with the actual story :D

I'd put them to work...11 guys would be great to help me get ready for the holidays!

CC said...

Wow! I can't believe I finally won something! I hope it's ok to try to win more of your gorgeous fabric. If I do win two days in a row I'll definitely be buying a lottery ticket.

Not sure what sort of pipe's those are. Someone should really modernize the 12 Days song.

Quilting "b" said...

I now have 11 pipers piping and 12 drummers drumming. I see a parade!!! A parade of beautiful giveaway fabric.

11 pipers piping? I'd chase off the neighborhood kid with the noisy scooter by sic'ing the pipers on him. Tweet! Tweet! He'd never rev his engine outside my house again, haha.

Amber H. said...

I'd have them as permanent residents or at least have them come by every morning to wake up my 6 year old for school. Now I know what kind of pain I was to wake up every morning when I was a kid!

Sarah said...

As I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the Princes Street pipers are best when they combine with another busker and do a kind of tartany "mash up", I'll get those drummers from yesterday to choose a more modern beat and have the pipers play some contemporary music!

Elizabeth said...

Tufted Tweets is one of my favorite design schemes ever!

I'd probably send the pipers to my relatives to entertain/annoy them :D

Gill said...

Fabulous fabrics!!
I'd send the pipers to my next door neighbour who is giving us such a hard time lately!

craftytammie said...

looove tufted tweets! hmm, 11 pipers piping might send me over the edge. i'm usually pretty close anyways. :)

Head Ov Metal said...

As long as they're in sync, eleven pipers sound great! Thanks!

JuliePickles said...

I'm with almost everybody else, I'm going to send those pipers to someone to annoy! Probably the guys who are working on laying pipes on the road behind my house. For the past umpteen million weeks all I hear all day long is the beeping of the equipment when it backs up, ugh! So, the pipers will either annoy them right back for me, or they'll help them lay those pipes faster and get them on their way!

Anonymous said...

I would have them play for my kids when they are bad, maybe they will be good more :)

Are the pipers playing the bag pipes? If so, I think I'd send them out to the ND Football stadium for a tailgate party. That'd be one hell of a surprise!

I would conduct an impromptu Christmas concert on our street corner- living in a small town this year means I'm really missing all the big holiday concerts I'd usually be dragging my family and friends to.

11 pipers piping? I'd get them to make cupcakes! Cupcakes For All! ...

oh ... and come to me tufted tweets .. *doing hypnotic swirly snake eyes from Jungle Book

Shannon said...

I would have the pipers babysit. My boys would love it!

mab said...

I'd really hope that they are the type of pipers that make and sew custom piping... I've got some pillows I'd like to do, but I don't want to fool with the piping. I'd assign at least 4 of them to that task. The other 7 of them could get the icing bags and do the piping work on a fabulous gingerbread house. If even one of the 11 tries to pull out an actual pipe, I'd full-body-slam them.... my 3 year old is finally taking a nap and ain't NOBODY waking her up!

Vicky said...

What a fun giveaway theme! The 11 pipers piping are welcome to come to my house and pipe away as long as they are willing to do housework so I can quilt! ;)

Cynthia Strickland said...

11 Pipers Piping? Well, we have eleven neighbors near us here in the country so I would send one to each house and have them pipe their favorite Christmas Carol then all come back to my house for warm homemade cookies and milk, or coffee, or ?

Ah, but they could be pipe smokers, couldn't they, in which case they'd be a health hazard and I'd send them on their way! And if they're pipers like plumbers, perhaps they could sort out my central heating.

laura said...

Surely 11 pipers could entertain (read:drown out) 2 toddlers.

Jenny said...

i certainly think 11 pipers could give my kids a music lesson!!

Unknown said...

11 pipers piping? I'm going to assume they are bag-pipes. If that's the case, I'd call up my friend Rachel and have her come over here and bring her bag-pipes so she can join in. Will they be wearing kilts? ;)

Annik Miller said...

The drummers were much easier ;) Pipers? Maybe I'd invite people over for a Medieval dance party.

Sooz said...

If they were bag pipers, I'd park them in my back yard and have them play for me. I loves me some bag pipers! I wonder how my chickens would like them?

Anonymous said...

11 pipers sounds like an irish funeral procession to me.

Unknown said...

11 pipers would be kept in storage over winter, and when sweet summer arrives, I'd put them on the balcony and let them pipe the neighbors asleep each night.

Lori said...

My 11 pipers would be in charge of taking my dogs for a run today. The weather has been rough so the dogs haven't been able to go run lately. They are bouncing off the walls. I figure between 11 pipers they might be able to make a dent in all the energy contained within these two dogs!!!!

Anonymous said...

That really depends on what they're piping. We had a wee plumbing problem here at the weekend but they'd have to bring their own nose pegs!

Melissa said...

<3 Tufted Tweets. :)
I've already got one piper, so I'd pair up my 12 pipers with my 12 drummers and schedule them for the halftime show at a football game. :)

Carrie L said...

I like the idea of a Christmas parade!

WandaFish said...

I think I'd get the pipers to play for the crowds at the local outlet village which would leave the shops empty for me to get on with my Xmas shopping in peace!
Oh, how I love those tufted tweets - thanks for another super giveaway :)

Barb said...

I'd ask the 11 pipers to play "Pas de Basques and Highcuts" for my 5-year old budding Highland Dancer to put on a show for the grandparents. Thanks for the chance to win.

Jennadesigns said...

I think I'd have to invest in some earplugs! :) Not a humbug, just don't like noise! :) Love your fabrics!

Tong said...

Love Tufted Tweets! Thank you so much for the fabric giveaway! I don't know what I would do with 11 pipers piping, ask them to leave? haha

Marcia W. said...

These piping pips would have to learn to dance a little too. Then, would have them lead the grandnieces round-n-round the house (outside) until the grandnieces were tired and begging to take a nap! Thanks for the giveaway.

Johanna said...

11 pipers piping would fit perfectly in our living room :)
Thanks for the wonderful chance!

Again with the noisy noise-makers, eh? I might send them to harass my boss at work. But that wouldn't be very nice....

(Satisfying though.)

Andrea said...

Oh I'd love this set of lovely fabric! I'd bring out my own flute and join them piping away! A dancing we will go!

Jo said...

Oh please no more noise! I think I would take away their pipes and give them brooms, dust rags, sponges, laundry soap, the vaccume, and any other cleaning supplies I could think of and have them clean the house for me while I went out and did something fun! Tufted Tweets is sooooo cute! Thanks for the chance to win.

I would ask them to play a tune for my Grandmother who loves the pipes.

Ok, the Pipers can go on their own to my neighbour and try and teach the child how to play trumpet

Julie said...

They could play while my son has his morning tantrum!!!

Ranelle said...

I'd put'em to work. There is so much I'd like to accomplish before Christmas arrives. I could definitely use some recruits and perhaps a clone or 2. : )

Anonymous said...

Pipers, hooray, I've been wanting to try some piped binding. Why those pipers would surely make quick work of that project! What do you mean, 'they're not that kind of piper?'

Anonymous said...

It all depends on what kind of Pipers they are :-) If they are any good with water pipes they can come and organise our rain water collection which needs re-doing after moving our house.

Musical pipers could come and serenade while DH and I work hard in the garden. It's better than listening to the kids arguing.

Shruti said...

I think I'd put them up in kiddo's room! He'll have something to "listen" to for some time! He's the one who's always making the noise in the house - singing, playing his casio, talking!!! It'll be good to see him quiet for a change!
Thanks for the chance to win my favorite fabric!

Susan said...

I think I could put up with the pipers a little longer than the drummers!! But 11 of them?? Maybe not!

Unknown said...

Hummm... I don't know.. I have 11 brothers so I think i'll give one of each one :)

craftykat said...

I would let them entertain my daughter so I could finally get some sewing done!

Mel Nunn said...

I would get them to pipe icing on my christmas cakes!!

Jennie Salinda said...

I would take those eleven piper piping right up to my grandbabies' daycare and have them pipe for all the little ones who are loving music especially the Christmas music right now. My 2 yr old granddaughter sits in the back of the car singing." Jingle Bells , All the way" She doesn't get all the word,s but has the tune, and is so happy with herself that she can repeat that phrase. I LOVE IT! Have a Blessed Christmas...

Seriously if I had 11 pipers piping show up at my door I would rush them to my sewing room and totally redo the plaid kilt and navy jacket look. I think we would go on the search for some of your modern whimsy fabric and then I think I could listen to them for I would be looking at their attire.

What a fabulous giveaway! Well this is a tough one! You see, my husband's heritage is scottish so having 11 pipers would be loads of fun and they could pipe to me while I was sewing, though how I would fit them all in my room and not loose my hearing is beyond me this morning. LOL Though I don't think my cats would appreciate it! :)
