This post is from Clara dog. Lodging an official complaint against my mom, Laurie. She says I have to wear this dippy t-shirt until I stop licking my elbows and creating the beginning of a hot spot. First a bath, then a haircut. And now this...Really?! The indignity of this entire episode is just a tad much for me...
p.s. Come back early next week for ANOTHER giveaway! Who wants FQs of the NEW Urban Circus fabrics!? Robert Kaufman will start shipping the line in August, so the lucky winners will be the first ones to get cuts! :)
Poor puppy! She's just wishing someone would sew some fabulous Laurie Wisbrun fabric on that t-shirt! She's feeling the need for some Urban Circus...... Which I'd love to win! Can't wait for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteDear Clara,
ReplyDeleteYou have one mean momma! But look at the bright side-she is one very talented mean momma!
Oh so cute! I know sad but still Clara looks cute. Can't wait for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteClara, I know from experience, Moms only do what is good for you...Don't complain, she could have put a lampshade on your neck. Maybe she'll make a cute bandana to go with the shirt. Love,Pixie
ReplyDeleteP.S. My Mom would like to win some of your Mom's fabric!
Dear Clara Dog,
ReplyDeleteIf you get a lot of hot spots and are a bit obsessive about licking them, try the Eukanuba ZD (I think that's the name of it). It's really low in animal protein (such as beef) which a lot of dogs are actually allergic to. It takes its protein from fish and stuff.
It worked for me and even tho the dog food is expensive, it's much cheaper than going to the vet every 4 weeks!
love Sabo Dog.
Actually Clara, that tee looks pretty cute!
ReplyDeletepoor puppy! It really wants some style.
ReplyDeleteI really want some Urban Circus ooo me me..cant wait for the giveaway! :)
From Laurie: It didn't even occur to me to give Clara a snazzy new neck kerchif to go with her simple white tee... Must make one this weekend!
ReplyDeleteBree - Thanks for the food recco! I will definitely be looking into that!
And to all of you - thank you for indulging my mid week dog silliness :)
Pixie/Renate - THanks for backing me up on the whole lampshade thing.. I explained to her that was plan B if the tee somehow was 'removed'...
Clara - I think the biggest problem is that Mom's making you wear a plain white tee. She has the skills to make something spectacular. Nudge her into that, would you?
ReplyDeleteClara - at least you don't have a bucket on your head. And maybe if you're really nice to your mom, she'll dress up your plain tshirt into something really fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI've been shamed into embellishing Clara's tee-shirt... Pics to come in the am :)
ReplyDeleteaweee Clara!!!! But white is a great color on you & the sleeve length is so flattering!!! ;)
ReplyDeletePS: please tell me there is going to be a bedazzler involved ;)
Well Clara dog looks great with her summer cut and the shirt probably needs a little tufted tweet C sewn on it for her to just LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteHey, Laurie, my dog was getting hot spots not long ago, and I gave him Benadryl. It really seemed to help. Definitely something you'd want to run by your vet first.
ReplyDeleteKatie
Clara,
ReplyDeleteI really think you look very cute. And I know your mommie loves you very much. Maybe she'll take a picture of you on one of her pretty quilts and enter it in my upcoming Pets on Quilts Show. Hot spots or not, you still look cute.

PS - I wish I could remember the brand, but years ago my four legged guy also had this problem. We added an oil food supplement to her science diet food and it soon went away, and never came back! Something about the oil additive did the trick. Bought it at Pet Smart. Sorry I can't remember the brand name, but I'm sure your mommie is doing a great job taking care of you. I know she really does love you!

I'm sorry Clara. . .poor baby girl! Trust me the Tee is more attractive than tattered elbows. Hope she heals quickly, Laurie.
