Good luck and have a great week.

Tufted Tweets: Sorbet

Urban Circus: Earth
Urban Circus: Spring

  1. I just finished re-covering the throw pillows on my couch last night and I'm probably going to start a shirt or dress for my closet next. Either that, or a throw quilt using the same fabrics that I used for the pillows.

  2. Well, I hate to say it, but the last project I did was making a "bag-keeper" for my grocery sacks !
    http://dollyshome.blogspot.com/2010/07/im-bag-lady.html

Hey, while I was making it, I said, "what a wonderful privilege to see something that we need, and then be able to turn around and make it for ourselves !"
I'm so thankful that young men and women are still learning how to sew !

Your fabrics are beautiful, and I have been lurking in your shop on Etsy, and others, wanting some of this "tufted tweets"......I didn't think I wanted the "urban circus", but this bottom photo is KILLING ME !

I don't know what's next........I played with hexagons yesterday, but need to finish a commissioned baby quilt that I'm hand-quilting.
If I should win these fat quarters, I will thoroughly enjoy finding SOMETHING to make that will stay around here for my VIEWING PLEASURE !

  3. My last sewing project was 3 cycling hats. I made them for awards to the winners of an All Ladies Alley Cat Race (a bicycle race) here in Austin. Today I am finishing up a pillow with hexies, making more hexies for a swap and deciding on designs for 5 kids' quilts. I love your designs. I never realized you live in Austin too!

  7. What a great giveaway!

It seems that all my friends are pregnant, so I am churning out baby quilts lately. The last one was the Charm Squares Baby Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman (Oh Fransson) and the one I'm working on now is in the style of her Nine-Patch Lattice Quilt. After that, it's a snuggle-on-the-couch quilt for my nap-loving husband.

  8. My last project was some tote bags for my cousins, and I'm currently working on (and will be working on for a long time) my first quilt. I don't know why, but I chose to make a full-size quilt on my first go. It's taking a while, but it's going well so far.

    I love your fabrics!

  9. I'm just in the process of binding a Kaffe Fassett Diagonal Madness queen sized quilt for my mum which has been fun to make. Next off is an English paper piecing project for the summer - the idea being that I'll be sitting in the garden in the summer holidays doing this although whether we'll have that kind of summer in England this year, who knows!

  11. my last project was a baby quilt for a good friend the weekend before we moved - the whole thing was done in less then 24 hours! crazy busy and lack of sleep which led to a few minor errors, but I was still happy with the result.

Now that we've moved, my sewing has shifted to everything for the house, on my list are pillows, table runner, apron and kitchen towels!

Then, I'll sandwich the quilt and placemats at the same time and quilt and bind them at the same time too. The placemats are so I can practice stipling! :) Wish me luck with that! I love the fabric in the give-away. Thanks!

  20. The last project I made was a quilting bee collaboration - a Jacob's Ladder design to be given away as part of our church's quilt ministry. It's going to its new home today.
