On to the winners from yesterday!
The winner of the FQ pack of Modern Whimsy is:
#54, Cherry Red Quilter
I think I would take them down to the local water system where there are currently ducks and grumpy geese. It would be fun to see swans there too and lots of kids go there to feed the birds so they would love it too - and baby swans - too cute!
And the 2 winners of the Amanda Murphy pattern, Bejeweled, are:
#116: Lesley
Ummmm, seven swans a swimming would have to be put in our community's pond, with little red ribbons tied safely around their necks for a photo opportunity...no swans would be endangered during the process...thanks for the great chance to win and fun with this question!
# 16: frozenMandMs
Oh, I really need those seven swans. We always have sooooo many geese in the pond behind our house. These geese leave lots of "presents" in our backyard. Swans protect their territory and chase the geese away. Bring on the swans!
Today's goodies are:
Urban Circus fabric! Half yard cuts (2 yards total) in the Earth color story
And for some inspiration, here's a picnic blanket I made last year when Urban Circus came out. Boy does that seem like it was a LONG time ago!

So when I think of goose eggs I think of those big painful knots on your head you get when you whack it on something. So now all I can see are 6 geese running around with baseball bats whapping people. I think I will stay clear of this gift.
ReplyDeleteWell, seeing as how geese are mean little suckers if I managed to actually get to the eggs, I would have friends and family over for quiche and omelets.=) Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI'd bring them to the neighborhood pond so we could come and visit and feed them all year :)
ReplyDeleteSince goose eggs are rather large, I would donate the geese to a homeless shelter and they could feed lots of people with scrambled eggs.
ReplyDeletethink i would have eggs for breakfast ............love goose eggs!!
ReplyDeleteMake a really big nest out of my tote of fabric scraps. Should be a colorful place to lay those eggs. Love the animals on the fabric.
ReplyDeleteGeese - I would find a hunter. There are way too many Canadian geese around and they leave such a mess. :P)
ReplyDeleteI would gather up the goose eggs and decorate them - they are nice big eggs and would be fun to decorate!
ReplyDeleteI would add them to my laying hens. who doesnt love a good goose egg omelet.
ReplyDeleteI live at the edge of a protected wetland that almost always has geese and all sorts of ducks dropping in to feed and rest so I'd put them there. sharonbrown.99@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteGoose egg crème brûlées for all!!
ReplyDeleteIf six geese were laying there would be lots of goslings to enjoy very soon. I hope at least one of them is a golden goose laying golden eggs to pay for all the fabric I need to sew.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs love chasing geese at the park near our house. I'm afraid they wouldn't last long at our house!
ReplyDeleteUrban Circus has the coolest colors.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the laying geese, I would watch them from my window on the lake, just like I am today!
Easy! Faberge eggs. How about lining them with some yummy Laurie Wisbrun fabric?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't begin to do anything with geese so I guess I would give them to a local farmer who could raise geese or use the eggs or something!
ReplyDeleteI would have to give all the eggs away and anyone want goose for Christmas dinner
ReplyDeleteSix geese a laying? Cook up some breakfast of course. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric!
ReplyDeleteI would invite the neighborhood over for a french toast breakfast. Then take them to the local duck park because I don't want the mess in my apartment!
have camera, will photograph! 6 geese a-laying would be an interesting subject.
ReplyDeleteI would make an omelet with the eggs. I could also make some pillows with the goose down feathers. Waste not want not ya know.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to consider if this was related to a Goose Egg!
ReplyDeleteI'd have a gaggle of guard geese. My dog is completely useless, he likes being friendly with everyone that comes over! I hear they make excellent guard animals.
ReplyDeleteGeese and their eggs would be wonderful. So many things to make. Hallowed out egg ornaments for the tree. Lots of deviled eggs to eat! Can use the goose's down feathers for a comforter and it's meat for pate! Hope that end part isn't too gross to folks, but I love pate! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCrepes. Loads of crepes I'd make with all those eggs. Can't say I've ever eaten a goose egg. I've just applied ice when they appear on my kids' foreheads!
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of goose eggs, I think of a score on some sort of test. That does not have a positive connotation for me.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics have a wonderful positive vision tho.
six geese a laying? Well, they might make some mighty tasty roast goose.
ReplyDeletejstpetersen@gmail.com
we live on a smallish lake, and i love all the geese we see! if i were lucky enough to have 6 geese laying eggs for me, i'd use the eggs as decorations - blown of course, and then painted with fabulous romanian designs!
ReplyDelete6 geese? i'm thinking those things are even more mean than swans! reminds me of living in california, and i'd take my kids to the local duck pond. the geese would always chase us, honking away.
ReplyDelete6 geese a laying...would give me the excuse I need to chuck the suburbs and get a piece of rural property with a pond and I'm guessing we can eat goose eggs..
ReplyDeleteGoose egg omelet?
ReplyDeleteI live near a river so they will have a nice place to swim.
I'd think of all the yummy Christmas breakfast dishes I could make!
ReplyDeleteI would hard boil the eggs & make deviled eggs. They'd be so big, or at least I think geese eggs are bigger then chicken eggs.
ReplyDeleteOnce the geese have stopped laying than a goose dinner for everyone and goose down pillows for us.
ReplyDeleteNana B
http://stitchingbythebeach.blogspot.com
I think I would have to find something to do with all those goose eggs, and build a coop for the geese.
ReplyDeletehopefully they'd be laying golden eggs... that'd be nice!
ReplyDeleteI would make omelets and souffles! assuming goose eggs are good for that sort of thing. If they weren't then I'd probably use them for target practice when my husband and I go out shooting.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I love this line of fabric! I would get the geese to lay lots and use the eggs in a huge amount of cakes for a community football event we're organising for 2nd Jan, the men can play football and the women can eat cake made with deliciously large eggs! thanks
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to yesterday's winners.
ReplyDeleteWith 6 geese I'd have a lot of eggs so I think there would be a lot of baking going on!!
Six geese-a-layin: I will keep the eggs and hopefully have some goslings. As for the mature geese, well, six would be enough for a main course at our Christmas family dinner and New Year's too. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWow that would be noisy! Headphones ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd stamp "return to sender" on them and hope the postman would take them back!
ReplyDeleteGeese lay wonderful big eggs so they would have a home on our pond - and a place to lay those eggs. They are often used in Ukrainian Easter egg decorating too - a beautiful cultural treasure for sure. Thanks for sharing during this season :)
ReplyDeleteHmm geese, I think they should lay and run - leave me some eggs for omelettes, and skedaddle before they end up on the menu too!
ReplyDeleteI would try to hatch one, Me and my kids hatched a duck egg once. hmm that doesn't sound like how you'd say it. But we incubated it and watched it peck its way out. It was fun..
ReplyDeleteSix geese-a-laying- It doesn't say they have a place to lay them, so-I'd provide a good nest area. Once the eggs are laid, I'd sell the eggs!
ReplyDeleteLightening doesn't strike twice or so they say so I have no chance of being lucky enough to win twice - a very big thanks for fabric i won yesterday - SO EXCITED - now to today's Geese a laying - I would send them to my sister's sheep farm in Western Australia- they would drive the farm dogs nuts, and probably her husband but she would love them! They would probably follow her around like the orphaned lambs and kangaroos she has raised! Bug thanks again!
ReplyDeleteOh this is getting harder for me. lol I'm not very country, so I'll admit that I'm sort of at a loss for the six geese. I'd probably give them to friends who do have a farm and they would happily eat them...err...their eggs? This is why I'm not very country. I already have the heabie jeabies!
ReplyDeleteI'd take those geese eggs and start painting them so I have a head start on easter ;-)
ReplyDeleteCan you eat goose eggs? If so I'd scramble up some for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteOmelettes. With lots of bacon.
ReplyDeleteI would make lots of scrambled eggs!
ReplyDeleteLaying or not, I'm terrified of geese so I would most likely run away!
ReplyDeleteAre goose eggs good to eat? I'd pray for the golden egg. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how big a goose egg is- you only need one to make an omelette. I would have enough eggs to take up baking macarons!
ReplyDeleteBing Danish the first thing I had to do with Six Geese A-laying was too look it up on Google as I had NO CLUE what it refered to *LOL* Now that I know I will of course have to use the six days of creation to quilt and quilt and quilt :)
ReplyDeleteI would put the six geese-a-laying in my backyard pond dredged and stocked for the five swans-a-swimming in hopes that they would all play together nicely. An although I've never eaten goose eggs, I'm willing to try them in a Christmas Frittata.
ReplyDeleteI can be reached via FlickrMail.
I would let them loose at the duck pond. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope they would be laying golden eggs. That would be nice, wouldn't it? Failing that, I could make some lovely Christmas decorations from goose eggs.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching my mom making goose egg ornaments with our school pictures or little figurines. The six geeses a laying would help out with that :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a nice duck pond behind the library, I would gladly donate them :)
ReplyDeleteourbusylittlebunch(at)hotmail(dot)com
Love the colours, so fresh and pretty! I don't know what I'd do with the geese, but I hope they don't leave a huge mess...
ReplyDeleteI guess I'd become an eggsellent omelette maker (sorry!)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of eggs - maybe one could make it's way to the Christmas dinner table ;)
Thanks for another fantastic fabric giveaway!
Lots and lots of baking!
ReplyDeleteI pictured eggs and cakes at once
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric! The colors are awesome! If I had six geese I would keep a safe distance and find someone to relocate them. When I was little my mother was chased, goosed, and trapped on top of our car. There were two of them and they had the car surrounded. Luckily we hadn't gotten out of the car and the owner was there to get the geese away from us. As for the eggs I would gladly keep those and cook with them. Thanks for a chance to win!!!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is lovely and what a fun giveaway. Six geese a laying - eggs and I would love to cook them up into a fritata! thanks!
ReplyDeleteOmelets and roast goose for me! I love this fabric!!
ReplyDeleteOmelets and roast goose for me! Love this fabric - thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteSix geese a laying is the same as a dozen normal eggs..so would have to cook up a good breakfast feast!
ReplyDeleteAre these geese ones that lay golden eggs? If they lay golden eggs then everyone I know would be getting golden eggs for Christmas! If not then I guess we'd be eating a lot of goose! haha.
ReplyDeleteI would have them lay around a local lake and chase away the Canadian geese. Kathie L in Allentown
ReplyDeleteWe'd have an egg toss with the family with the big goose eggs, and let the geese have the run of the property. :)
ReplyDeleteI would blow out the eggs and get a jump on Easter egg dying.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I think I would send the geese to my dad's house. They have a pretty good menagerie over there!
ReplyDeleteI'd use them as guard geese; no-one would try to break in with guard geese!
ReplyDeletesable at xtra.co.nz
If the geese came here, I'd probably stay in the house! Geese are messy and mean! Smelly, too! No geese for me, please!!
ReplyDeleteI would let the eggs hatch. They do make wonderful guards!
ReplyDeleteNot much need for extra geese around here! I live in the Canadian prairies, they're everywhere! Gross green poop in the parks all summer, yuck!
ReplyDeleteI would put my kids to work selling eggs!!!
ReplyDelete6 geese a laying...............is that a new fabric collection?
ReplyDeleteJust love urban circus! Six geese a laying..........I'll need a BIG hen house to keep them all happy...and I know they'll keep the front field clear of bugs And grass.....our five acres will look amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'd make sure they had some blankets to keep them warm while they were "laying" around! It's getting chilly these days...:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance! I would have a goose farm! raise some baby geese, eat some adults, maybe some eggs. I am not sure how they taste, but how different can they be?
ReplyDeleteaimeespcr at live dot com
This is fun! I'd have scrambled goose eggs or maybe goose egg nog!
ReplyDeleteHa! We live next to a lake and are always thinking of new ways to ward off the geese! :)
ReplyDeleteSince I live in the city limits, I'd take them to my uncle's house as he lives in the country.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win some awesome fabric.

Goose eggs - yummy
ReplyDeleteI just found you through Amanda Murphy Designs. What a great time to become a follower. hehe. Geese? No thanks, I grew up on a farm and I'd rather not have any. I'm going to sell my geese. hehe. After I make sure none of them are laying any golden eggs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a generous giveaway and a chance to win.
usairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd collect the eggs everyday for making omelets and quiche. But I wouldn't crack them. No, I'd poke holes in each end and blow them clean so we could paint them extravagantly. In the spring, I'd let them keep their eggs to hatch. I wonder how many goslings we'll have :)
ReplyDeleteWell, they would have to be fenced off somewhere and Hubby would have to go in and get the eggs because geese can be real nasty...but my little Jack Russell would protect me..ROFL. Thanks for a lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeletePray that one was the goose that laid the golden egg!
ReplyDeleteI suspect I'd spend a fair bit of time keeping the geese separated from our dear chickens and our curious dogs. Of all the guests so far, I might take a pass on these, or encourage them to visit someone else. Does that sound awful? It might be that I'm too tired to come up with a hospitable answer. Goodnight!
ReplyDeleteI would put them into my next qut to make REAL flying geese ;)
ReplyDeleteSusanne
OOh, six geese a laying, I would use their eggs for the christmas pavlova. There never seems to be enough to go around!
ReplyDeleteWell at least I'd never run out of eggs again!
ReplyDeletemichelletripper(at)yahoo(dot)ca
Six geese a laying would be sent to the large lake near my house. Then I would check each day in the spring for their babies. It is so beautiful so see geese swimming with their gaggles (not goggles).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful fun and give aways. I look forward to this each morning as I pour my cup of coffee.
I would donate the eggs to a local shelter and put the geese on a pond. I hope they are Canada geese. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple of geese when I was a kid and they were actually mean. So, I was kind of glad when we didn't have them any more. But, if we could get them to lay golden eggs... I'd be willing to make an exception.
ReplyDeleteUrban Circus, what a GREAT giveaway! Six geese a laying would have to go live at a friend's ranch on their big pond. We have a great dane that just loves to chase big birds so they would be very skinny geese at our place (south of San Antonio). :D
ReplyDeleteYum, frittata! I'd toss the geese some food to distract them while I took their eggs for breakfast. :)
