ReplyDeleteRight this minute, it's definitely my husband making me happy. Through thick and thin (there's been a lot of thick lately), he does little and big things to care for, please and delight me: making jello and buying ice cream (anything better than this after surgery?), bringing flowers, books and magazines, playing with the dog to amuse me (she's hilarious) and just letting me be so I can recover in my own time. Yep, in spite of all the stuff going on, I'm deeply happy because of him.

Love color, love play especially with fabric to find what it will make or look for patterns - planning is fun too.
ReplyDeleteOur dog had knee surgery, and his recovery is what is making me happy. Not only is he doing beautifully, he has been such a good sport about the whole thing. It is sweet to see that he understands he can't do what his brother and sisters are doing; he stands at the window and wags his tail while he watches them romp. He is patient while we do his physical therapy, although I know he doesn't love it. What a good guy he is.

Finding time to sew, read, and bake all while keeping the house clean is one of the things that makes me happy. But my family is the best and happiest part of my life.
ReplyDeleteWhat's making me happy these days? It makes me happy that yesterday I succesfully hosted a meeting of my book club, twenty ladies, my sister-in-law came and cooked all the food, my house is so clean I won't have to clean again for weeks and weeks and the fact that it's all over with. Whew!
