New line - Sealed with a Kiss | Giveaway!

Who's ready for some sweet air mail? Sealed with a Kiss, my newest line for Robert Kaufman fabrics has just released and will be shipping to stores in May. It's been a while since I've had a new line and I'm super excited for this one to start showing up in stores, on cutting tables and in all of your lovely creations.

I designed this line based on love letters my boyfriend (who recently popped the question and is now my fiance [insert huge smile here!!]) sends to me. We're incredibly excited about our next chapter together and I *love* that this line is releasing in time for me to make some cute wedding related goodies.

All three color ways make me equally happy. And every time I look at them, I have a new favorite.

Caveat: Having some computer trouble which means I'm unable to accurately color balance the photos I took in the studio, but the ones shown on the Robert Kaufman site here and in the image below are correct :)

I heart the hearts on the selvage.

Happy stack of mail :)

Six text prints with lines from notes from my sweetie.

The 4th from the bottom in the picture above is the red (boo misbehaving computer).
AND its been printed in slicker/coated cotton!
The red below is much more accurate than the color in the picture above.

Oh, orange... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways!

I can't wait to sew up some shirts with these harlequin diamonds!

Would you like some Sealed with a Kiss?! Just leave me a comment here before noon CT on Friday 4/10/15 and tell me about the last piece of sweet snail mail letter you received or sent.

I'll randomly choose a winner who will get a FQ set of all prints. Winner #2 will receive a pack of Charm Squares. International entries welcomed. And everyone make sure I have a way to contact you!

SWAK. xoxo

I sent a quilt to a family who lost a child to a horrible disease and I just received the nicest card in the mail from them. It really made my day.

I always send a handwritten thank you note to my parents at Christmas which includes thanks for the gift to me and my husband, and handwritten notes by each of our children for their gifts as well. New school pictures are also included! I love the idea of a personal handwritten note for any occasion! Gorgeous fabric and charm packs are my favorite precut!

This is such an adorable line! My husband and I were high school sweethearts and he was older than I am so when he went away to college we kept in touch by mail, I would doodle all over the pages' margins and leave a kiss with pink lipstick at the end. Lol! Cheesy 'ol me. We had cell phones but I'm a romantic and it was much more exciting to have to wait for the mail! Congrats on one of the cutest lines yet this year! faithlovefabric@gmail.com is my email just in case!

I LOVE this and I am so excited for you! The last mail we received was a letter for my 6-year old from her cousin in Portland. They write letters to each other back and forth and I think it's awesome. My email is stephydinger at yahoo dot com.

Congratulations on your recent engagement, Laurie! Happiness to both of you. :o)

What a sweet and happy line! I'm especially loving those envelopes and the text print (the pink/orange colourway is a must have!).

The last piece of sweet snail mail I sent was to a lovely friend in Sweden. I used fabric scraps and stitched them to cardstock to make a one-of-a-kind card, just for her.

Love this fabric!! So lovely! The best snail mail I get is an annual Christmas letter from my old boss in a job and a city I left behind thirteen years ago. She writes without fail every year a handwritten letter (with a fountain pen, no less!) that updates me on her research work and her beautiful family. I am less reliable at writing back (often an email with a few attached files with pictures of my kids) but that letter from her means a lot to me. Thanks for sharing!!

Chiska said...

Congratulations! I think the last snail mail I got was from my Aunt. It was a delightful out of the blue just thinking about you kind of note. It makes me smile thinking about it.

Kathryn said...

My husband and I love to write and receive letters. I try to send a note or two every week - thank yous, get well. And that's in addition to birthday cards to our extended family. Great idea for a fabric line.

The last bit of sweet mail I received arrived yesterday, a tender note from a friend, wanting to know how my heart is healing after the loss of our three dear dogs this winter. Such a compassionate letter from a very busy person. I felt so loved when I read it and that glow has lingered.

TisaIrish said...

Congrats on your engagement, and long live the love letter! My husband kept all the crazy short stories and letters and lists I sent him when we were first dating. There really is nothing like a hand-written card to capture a specific moment in time.

Andrea said...

Congratulations Laurie!!!! How exciting for you! Congrats on your new line. It's so cute. My last important missive was to my daughter in law for her birthday. I wrote her a very personal love note to encourage and appreciate her in our family. I also transcribed and printed a small journal I kept on my oldest son during his first year of life. It was a present for his 40th.

in touch !
Congratulations on your engagement !!!!

Congrats on your engagement and this wonderful line! I mostly help my kids send sweet notes to their grandparents now more than sending my own sweet mail.

jenny said...

Congrats! I have all of the love letters my husband sent me when were dating- they're the best! Most recently, I got a birthday card from my god-daughter, who is 5. She had to sound out all of the words herself, so the silent letters are missing in some words, which makes it all the more precious. Thanks for the chance to win such cute fabrics!

Lisa Marie said...

I got a lovely handmade Easter card last week. I like to send little crafty things to friends or relatives for no particular occasion -- surprises in the mail are the best! I recently sent one of my aunts a couple pot holders I had made from scraps. And of course I always include a note on lovely stationery.

Lisa said...

How exciting for you congratulations! My sweetheart of almost 20 years wrote me wonderful sweet letters when he was away at sea and I have them still. He always write me sweet cards on Valentines and our Anniversary, so the last one was in February. He is retired now and with me always so sweet letters are now words share everyday. I wish you such happiness in finding your lifemate!
