Day 3 of 12 Goodie Giveaway

Another fun day of reading your posts! I think this could be my favorite giveaway. Ever. The winner of the day 2 goodies (the FQ set of Tufted Tweets), the random number generator selected #72, Mab! I love her response too.

I'd really hope that they are the type of pipers that make and sew custom piping... I've got some pillows I'd like to do, but I don't want to fool with the piping. I'd assign at least 4 of them to that task. The other 7 of them could get the icing bags and do the piping work on a fabulous gingerbread house. If even one of the 11 tries to pull out an actual pipe, I'd full-body-slam them.... my 3 year old is finally taking a nap and ain't NOBODY waking her up!

And now onto the goodies for Day 3:
-A pair of Olive the Ostrich Pillow Panels
-Two half yard cuts of ANY of my Robert Kaufman fabric (winner's choice!)

I stitched up one of the panels and added black piping to finish it. Easy Peasy.

  • To be registered to win, just leave a comment here on this post. Make sure you I have a way to contact you. Entries from around the world welcome!! I'm happy to ship your prizes to wherever you might be :)
  • In your comment tell me what you'd do with ten lords a leaping (he he, this one should be very entertaining!)

Good luck! And see you tomorrow for the announcement of the Day 3 winner and for the start of the Day 4 giveaway!!

10 Lords-a-Leaping! I'm thinking that I'd ask my 10 Lords to perform Christmas numbers a la Glee style for my enjoyment! Singing and Dancing!!!!

I hadn't seen that adorable ostrich until now - so cute. And I can't stand how adorable that Christmas donkey is. I'm sure that you're to thank for real life donkey sales going up.

I think those Lords-a-Leaping are probably actually Lady Gaga's backup dancers!

Hope said...

Let's assume they're hot, and I'd make them leap around for my enjoyment.

Sequana said...

You really don't want to know what I've done to those ten lords to make them leap. Truly. *snicker*

Kelly said...

I had to leap and get two pillows panels before I commented! :) hmmm, 10 lords a-leaping....I would have one leap to buy me fabric, one to get coffee, one to make dinner, one to clean my house, one to change diapers, one to rake leaves, one to fill the car with gas, one to take out the trash, one to pick up dog poop in the backyard, and one to rub my feet while I watch the other 9 in action.

the Lords are leaping because I set fire to their shoes

Staci said...

What would I do with 10 Lords a Leaping, huh?
Well, since they are leaping, they might as well clear the cobwebs from the top of the ceilings and walls, the gutters on the house could use a cleaning, the windows need a wash, and I'd love some Christmas lights hung up! Since there are 10 of them, it shouldn't take that long!

deserae said...

I would have them leap around behind me as I walk for a dramatic entrance! Lol

christilee said...

They would play leap frog with my kids then they would leap outside to put my christmas lights up and be finish the season leaping from one end of my yard to the other as my most festive decorations ever!!!

What a lovely prize! I'd ask those 10 lords to leap with my lovely little black lab who is going crazy being stuck inside with all of the snow we have here.

Hannah said...

They could probably hang our Christmas lights outside. It's a good thing they're leaping because we don't have a ladder!

Ten lords a leaping. Imagine 10 men leaping and dancing around the house. Not sure I would get too much work done that day. I think I would just sit and enjoy the performance. My husband probably wouldn't mind.

Ten lords a leaping could help get the holiday decorations out of my attic!

Ten Leaping Lords, oh my! Lords as portrayed in those Period Romance specials such as "Sense & Sensibility" or "Pride & Prejudice", some likeable Lords in those! If they are leaping where are they leaping to? That is each persons own secret I guess. I imagine they could be leaping with joy to have a lovely pillow to land on!

Mrs Chronic-Shock said...

I'd send all 10 lords leaping to my roof to add Christmas lights :) Then they can clean the gutters while they're up there ;)

Brittany said...

Ok ... this is probably from the lack of coffee. But, with those lords, I would have to start a track and field team. Wouldn't it just be too amusing to see ten lords a leaping over hurdles dressed in their duds from the middle ages. :-)As always thanks for the great giveaway and fun game this week.

DianeY said...

I think I'd lend them to a production of Nutcracker & enjoy watching them leap across a stage.

Erica said...

Can the 10 lords of leaping clean my house?

Jo said...

Now 10 Lorda a Leaping I have plenty of things they could be useful for, painting the ceilings, they need it desperatly, no more climbing on chairs to reach things on the top 2 shelves for shorty here, I have Leaping Lords. I could also rent them out to do some male dancing for Christmas partys, they might as well earn their keep I bet they eat a lot all that leaping around must make them hungry.
I think the panel is just as wonderful as all of your fabrics are.

QuiltyGirl said...

Oh my gosh, I just absolutely adore these pillows!
If I have 10 lord a leaping, I would ask them to play ballet with my 4-year old (who loves to leap!) so that I could finish my holiday sewing! :)

hueisei said...

Ten lords a leaping? hmmmmmmm... I'd probably request them to dance and sing for me.. :)

poppyinpink said...

My ten Lords could be leaping into the Guiness book of records for the most leaps in one day! And their motivation, well a chance to win some beautiful pillows and remarkable fabric was a unanimous choice but failing that some good coffee and chrissy cake!

Ten Lords a leaping. I would have them leap to all the Christmas tasks that need to be done. I have a 12 foot Christmas tree to decorate. I love those pillows. Please, please pick me.

Lindsay said...

They would have to take the place of my counting sheep that leap over my bed. Although hopefully I fall asleep before I reach 10 otherwise they might get kind of tired

Angela said...

Those 10 lords a leaping would be in line to dance with my two year old daughter. She's always leaping hear and there and trying to get her dad and I to join in. It would be nice to have a backup. ;)

memmens said...

They could teach my children a move or too, hopefully wearing them out in the process, leaving me to get on with a hundred projects that need starting and finishing before Christmas!

briscoeslochico said...

I could use ten lords a leaping to hop around in my backyard and trim up my plum trees. As it stands I have to crawl up and cut back the leader branches myself. Plum pudding though! Yum.

Anya said...

The Ten Lords a Leaping could leap over my piles of fabric and toys and make my family dinner so I can continue sewing....

10 Lords a Leaping?? I'm thinking I would need to stage a big, overblown production that would need to be filmed for YouTube!

Beth said...

Leaping? How high can they leap? We have a few wasp nests I need someone to remove, and some gutters to be cleaned, as well as some vases on top shelves that need to be taken down and washed before I fill them with Christmas ornaments and put them back. Send those lords to my house and I'll put them to work!

Jen B said...

Since hubby and I are both ill and the kiddo is not they are on kid duty!

craftytammie said...

i'd make those ten lords a leaping help me get my tush off the couch and work out! we could jump rope or just dance away those thanksgiving pounds!

Marcia W. said...

Those ten leaping lords can pick our fruit that is so difficult to reach on the citrus trees. After that, they can pull moss out of the crepe myrtles. Then, after that, they can trim trees. And, finally, they can leap up and clean the roof and gutters. Of course, some of that leaping might require hovering in the air for a while. Can they do that?
Love you fabric and would like to win your generous 12 days of goodies. Thanks for the chance.

siilenti said...

10 lords a leaping could help me put up my christmas decorations. I'm a little short and if they're willing to leap, they could put them up! :D

Since we live on the 2nd floor of an apartment I would have to send them packing because I don't think the neighbors downstairs would appreciate all that leaping. But first they can dust all the high shelves and ceiling fans.

Sarah@Pings&Needles said...

oh lords a leapin? well, if they're wearing kilts I'll just lie on the ground and practise my macro photography skills :)

highwaycottage said...

Well i think they'd be great entertainment, but for something useful - they can help pick the plums and apricots that are up too high for me to reach. My apricot tree is having a bumper harvest :-)

Love those panels, you post reminded me I have a Polar Bear one, I must go and sew it up this morning!

Isisjem said...

Lords a leaping eh? I'd get them to hang Christmas lights all over the exterior of my house. I don't have a ladder but with all that leaping I'm sure they'd get it done in no time ;-) (and maybe clean the gutters while they were at it!)

Leaping Lords, Batman, I think we have a problem... Maybe we should have someone come in and spray, I hear that takes care of unwanted pests.

JulieGmehlin said...

I say...let them leap away..should be a great motivator for me to get all of my cardio in!

10 lords a leaping? well, they may put their physical skills to good use and leap around helping me put my garden to bed!!! And then I'd order a truckful of compost for them to mulch my plants with! Sigh, that would be lovely.

Kitty said...

Funny how a lot of the comments would have those lords a leapin' doing chores and decorating. My thoughts exactly--get the work done, then party!

Barb said...

Leaping lizards--no no wait lords and ten of them! I think I'll stick them in the cupboard until the snow gets deep, then bring them out to leap over the snow banks to get the mail and do the shopping.

Patchwork and Play said...

Well, it kind of depends on who the lords are...and where they are leaping to or from!!! As I am not on first name terms with any lord, I just get them to work on my ironing pile! Then there would be nothing to leap over!

Carla G said...

I'd get them to leap around my house getting it organized and then sparkling clean! Then they can leap to the store & do my Christmas shopping! :)

SewSuzie said...

As the Lords are leaping - they must be energetic. So there is only one thing for them to do - my gardening!
