I would teach them to call my kids for me, one bird for each kid. That way they can repeat their names over and over trying to get them to come to me and I can save my voice!

Melissa said...

I would have them call my husband at work at various and annoying times so he would come home on time and not be able to blame me. :)

Kathryn said...

I would like the four calling birds to get on the phone line and connect the 4 family members for a Christmas chat. Kathie L in Allentown

I would probably send those four calling birds away. I have enough noise around here, I don't need four more noise-makers.

Four birds to make my robo calls when I run for office.

I'm thinking that 4 calling birds would leave too much calling bird poop! I think I would have to shoo them away. :)

Lindsay said...

I would sit them outside my window... or teach them to sew (like some sort of crazy fairy tale character)

deserae said...

I would teach them to call telemarketers and annoy them...

Aggiequilter said...

I'm not even really sure what "calling birds" are ... I have a friend who rescues all sorts of birds and animals so they'd probably end up with her !!
Love your projects, very inspiring. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win !

I would send them to my friend who has a farm. He already had ginny hens that make a lot of racket. They could talk to each other.

Elizabeth said...

I think I'd get the birds to make calls to members of the museum I work for. Or maybe just have them call all my family members and confuse them.

If I had 4 calling birds I would give them a nest in a chair just like your fabric! Maybe they would sleep and not make so much noise!

Oh my gosh I was just tuning in to read my blogs in reader and saw my name. What a way to start the day, I know you didn't hear the gasp but it was there!! Thank you!!

Oh and just in case lightning does strike twice, if I had 4 Calling Birds I'd send each one with a note to Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Chef Jeffery Zacharian and I'd keep one to get more eggs to grow more birds to send more messages!

Our four calling birds will be released into the piney woods surrounding our house so we listen to their calling songs. My mother loves to hear birds and watch them. We have a bird friendly ecosystem.

Yet another fabulous giveaway, thank you!

Your fabrics are AMAZING! I am in love with your color combos! Two calling birds...hmmm...I would probably release them and let them be free little calling birds. I rescued some cute little finches once at the vet office where I worked and felt so bad about keeping them in a cage I finally caved and released them. Thanks for a chance to win!!

It depends on the time of the day, but most likely I'd welcome the 4 calling birds, their chirping will make the dreary winter much more lively! Thanks again for the giveaway!

Nancy said...

I just read the comment above about a daughter who loves birds. Which is just the opposite of my daughter. Not that she is scared, but we had to chase birds off our grass seeds for a month, and now any time she see one she raises her arm and hollers at them. So she would probably just try to chase off 4 calling birds.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Erica said...

I would use four calling birds to annoy my neighbors who are constantly blasting dance music. Seriously so annoying!

Ms. Jensen said...

I would probably release the birds... I wouldn't know what else to do with them! And i love the fabrics!

That fabric is so adorable! I would want the four calling birds to live in my yard. I would feed them well, and enjoy their singing.

janequiltsslowly said...

Yikes! Four calling birds! Do I have to add them to our cell phone plan? If they wanted to be free, I'd set them free. If not, they could set up house in my yard and sing to their heart's content. I feed all comers!

Rachelle said...

I'd build an aviary for them in the back yard and then watch the cats watching them, lol.

That is the perfect sewing machine cover. Drool.
4 calling birds need their cage covered.

Shawna said...

Four calling birds? I'd give them to my Baba (Grandma)as she loves bird watching. She has a porch swing and about 10 bird houses where she sits and watches the birds. Bonus, since if it's raining, they could just call her. LoL

Beautiful fabric! Major eye candy! Thanks for the giveaway and a chance to win.

Beth said...

Four calling birds could join the crows in the yard, the chickens, the barn swallows. We love birds here, and I love the sound of birds calling, singing, even squawking more than music on the radio. So, send them here! (And if they bring some fabric with them, that's okay, too.)

Ciara said...

Just put them in a cage and listen to them call to me. I love to listen to birds, but there are few here.

Mel Nunn said...

Four calling birds... I would get them to sit in my window and sing sweetly to me while I work. Love the giveaways... so fun!

Susan said...

That's a hard one! no! No idea! It's still a great giveaway!

craftykat said...

I would hope their song would be louder than the bats in my backyard!

Linda H said...

I would let them serenade me whenever I am in the garden. Sweet music to the ears! They would blend in nicely in my sewing room as well, since I have a weakness for any fabric with birds on them.

Four calling birds would be in a gilded gold cage singing sweetly each morning and evening and then I would set them free. I love this fabric! And your sewing machine cover.

This is really the best one. I do most of my work on the telephone. I would have them busy calling and we would all get to go home early/
love it

My Pink and Grey Galah, Poppy, calls the words "come" and "scratch" so that could be one of the birds, the other 3 might be the other "birds" in my life.. mum and two sisters calling for a catch-up chat.

Pam said...

My daughter has a hard time waking up for work in the mornings. I bought her a Sonic Blast alarm clock for Christmas that even has a vibrated to place under your pillow but 4 calling birds might be even better. I would wrap them and give them to her for Christmas!!

Anonymous said...

I'd just enjoy listening to four calling birds sing in the morning :) I love this colorway! I went to a small liberal arts school, Gettysburg College for undergrad and our colors were blue and orange!

Purl Buttons said...

It depends on the birdsong. I have visiting crows that are HUGE like ravens. If the four calling birds sounded like that, I would be tempted to find 20 more to make a dish to set before the king.

s. said...

I'd use them as an alarm clock!

Anonymous said...

Oh sure, just what I need more 'birds' making calls. Note: Christmas cancelled due to high phone bill.
