it looks a great book i would just love to know how to print fabrics thanks for the chance .
Looks like an interesting book.
I have an intention to create my own design. From very young, I have always like to dabble from scratch and this seems to be one of them. Who knows, this may be a life long 'career' for me.
Wow, that's a great giveaway! I've always been interested in fabric design and would love to know some of the process that goes into it.
This looks a great book! I've just started screenprinting after a fabulous workshop with Ineke Berlyn and I'd love to learn more!
I have been designing fabrics on Spoonflower for some time now and enjoying it very much. I would love to have this book to improve my designs. Thanks for the giveaway!
I really don't know that I have the talent for fabric design, but I sure do have a ton of ideas. I'd love to learn more about the process and your experience.

would love to get inspiring ideas on design and printmaking, i love to dye fabric and use my sreeenprinting and stamps
I would love a chance to get your book. I really want to try designing my own prints, but I'm a bit clueless on how and where to start. Do I need a fancy program? How do you do repeats of patterns, but make it look seemeless? etc etc. Plus I think it would be fun to play around with hand printing with stamps and such, but again I'm clueless on the how to details.
Congratulations on the book being such a success! I'd really love a copy as I admire your designs and it would be great to have an indepth insight in how you create them.
I'm not sure if i have any talent for designing, but I do love beautiful fabric!
I would love to learn more about the process of fabric design!

Thank you so much, I had fun checking out the other blogs and websites on your tour! I would like to learn the different ways to make patterns, your book looks amazing!
Fabric design is something I'd really love to try. I would like to learn a bit more about the process from start to finish. Thanks for the chance to win!
The idea of having a one-of-a-kind textile to work with is very interesting to me! I have recently taken some baby steps on Spoonflower and I am hooked!! I need all the tips and pointers I can get!
I would love to win the book. I've always been interested in the design process. My daughter is an art teacher and I know she would love to see the book as well.
Thanks for the chance!
This looks ver interesting. The more knowledge I have the better. I love learning new things!
It looks like a great book. I like the sub title, Techniques, Turtorials and Inspiration. That says it all for me about why I would like to win the book. I have thought about the whole process and wondered about it. Thanks for a chance.
Hi Laurie. Thank you for the giveaway. I really have been looking forward to the release of your book. You and other designers in blogland have really peaked my interest in designing fabrics. I have two ideas and have dabbled around but really don't have the technical skills required so anything I can learn would be helpful. I respect your work so that leads me to believe your book will be a fantastic resource.
wow, amazing! I've been trying to figure things out myself and this book just seems to spell it out for beginners - would love to learn through it! Thanks for the chance!
The book looks so inspiring! I have always loved fabric and handmade, and I think it will help me to start making my own creations. I am specially interested in handprinting but digital design is a pending topic for me and it looks a very funny creativity tool... Thanks so much for working on it, and for the chance to win a copy!
There's so many times when I can't find the "exact" fabric I want. I'd like to start to design my own.
Learning to do repeats would be wonderful- I'd really like to give it a try so I can print my own stuff at Spoonflower, not just the work of others!
What an inspirational book! Thanks for the fun giveaway!
I am totally fascinated by fabric design and have been trying to learn more about it lately. This book would be a great tool!
Well, I've always been interested in drawing and art, and textile patterns and designs have always fascinated me. I'd love to know more about the entire process.
I think my biggest challenge is a proper repeat, so I'm hoping I can learn a bit more about that process.
Hi! I'm so happy that you are offering this giveaway. I've had my eye on your book and would love to have a copy. I have always loved loved loved fabric and have become interested in the process of design and printing. Somewhere in the back of my mind is a part of me that wants to try but is afraid. I love your fabric (I have some!) and think that connection would help me to learn about this fascinating art and maybe give it a try myself. Thanks! :)
I'd love the chance to learn about fabric design from someone so adept at it; I have a number of your Jack & Jenny & Modern Whimsy prints and am so looking forward to Brrr! You obviously know what you're talking about ;>) so it would be worthwhile to learn from your book. Thanks for the chance! (marshudson at comcast dot net)
I am hoping to expand my imagination a little fron this book!
Looks awesome. Thanks for the chance.
Your book looks as beautiful and inspired as your fabric designs!
I have some fabric design ideas floating in my head and I've love to read about the process of getting them onto cotton!
Thanks for the chance.
I have been on pins and needles waiting for this book to be released in the US. Each of your fabric designs are better than the last and the chance to get inside you head and start to figure out how you make the magic happen is beyond exciting. Thanks for the chance to win and keep up the beautiful fun designs. :-)
I am hoping to learn more aout the interplay of color in fabrics. Thanks for the chance!
There's so much I don't know about how fabric is designed and made. There are times when I have an idea in my head for a perfect print for a quilt or bag or something and I can't find what I want. It would be a good start to read your book and have a greater understanding of how it all works.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Would love to read the book and hopefully it will inspire me to move from sketchbook ideas to fabric.
I'd love a copy of your book! I have it on my wish list on Amazon right now. I've never done any fabric design before so I would love to just learn how it's done and maybe someday down the road give it a try.
It looks like a great book. I haven't done any fabric printing so I would just love to know how it's done. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love to study textiles, and this would be great background material. kathie L in Allentown
This book has been on my reading list since it came out - I've been designing for ages, but now I want to really apply professional technique to my designs to go to the next step! this book seems like a must have for people like me.
Congrats on th ebook publication, it looks amazing. I would hope to learn how to deal with image repetition in fabric design, tiling images needs to be done right to work on fabrics. Fingers crossed I'll get to see it. Thanks for the opportunity.
I would LOVE to have your book! I was thinking to request this book to public library. Thanks for the giveaway!
I'd love this book because I'd love to design my own fabric someday - and the first step is to understand how everything works. :)
Although I don't know if I'll ever be a commercial fabric designer, I'd love to learn more about printing designs at home, and even putting them together more effectively!
The reason that I would love to win a signed copy of your book (because like your work) is because I am color challenged and need to get a better feel for mixing colors together. Plus, I like to draw designs (e.g. quilting motifs) and want to learn how to make repeats. And, I'm into mathematics (my degree and prior occupation) and want to learn how to handle symmetry for a quilt that's been floating in my head for years that I cannot translate into a sketch! OK, I'm good at math, poor at writing. Hope to win - I visited every blog hop location to learn more.
Looks like a good book - congrats! It would be fun to try designing - I'm sure the book would have some great info.
I want this book because I want to learn how to put the woodcut stamps I make in good use :D
Oh, this is on my wish list! I'm hoping you explain your inspiration, and how exactly you get a sketch into a digital form. Can't wait for the chance!
yay! i have read nothing but great things about your book, having just begun my own textile design adventure, would love love love a copy!
I'd like to learn about printing and design and then pass the book on to a friend who is really doing this.
I'd love to have a copy of this book. I feel like anyone who has ever loved fabric or the creation process would get so much out of this book. It's a book on my wishlist and I do hope luck is on my side today!
**praying to the gods of giveaways** Oh, please, please let me win this one! Amen. LOL!
Yes please! I'd LOVE to win a copy of the book, it looks amazing!!
I've been visiting all the blogs along the hop and it looks like a very good resource for someone wanting to learn more about this subject. I honestly have not seen too many books on this subject and I'm very intrigued. I also know someone who would really enjoy this and their birthday is in a few days. If I won, perhaps I'd give it to them, but not without looking through it first! Crossing my fingers.
I wanted to learn on fabric printing and I hope the book can give me guideline and inspiration. Thanks!
I love to dye fabric and sew and my daughter is into all things computer. Just for fun, she makes wallpapers for her desktop and I keep saying that she could make fabric if we could find out how to get there from here. I know your book would lead us in the right direction. Meanwhile, I've been dropping hints right and left about llama fabrics and how they would be so much nicer than waxy chocolate bunnies in my Easter basket. Both of us love your work!
I've wanted to know more about fabric design for years and would love to read your book. Thank you! Thanks for all of your amazing designs as well.
I love what you do Laurie and I'd love to have your insight into this crazy world of fabric love. ;)
I know how to draw, but I have no idea how to translate that to fabric design and I'd really love to know how to do that so that I can create fabrics for myself! Thank you for the chance.
I would love to have a copy of this book because I love fabric. And I would love to learn more about how it moves from design to fabric.

Love to learn how designer fabrics are really made. The colors, composition, production process are joined together before I can actually use them, its very interesting to know.
I have a dream of designing my own fabric someday and would love your book! Just wanting to learn all I can about the subject! Thank you for the giveaway!
I am a retired RN, due to having a stroke @ 44yo. I have been an avid
quilter, embroider for years. My left side is weak, but I use my quilting as physical therapy. I
would love to go into a different direction in working with small fabric design. Now that I am re-tired, I have plenty of time to develop my new adventure. This
book would certainly be a great
help. Thanks for the chance to
win!!!!!!!

Schon lange möchte ich Stoffe bedrucken. Das Buch wäre der ideale Einstieg :) Ich lese Englisch lieber als ich es schreibe - wie man sieht.
Liebe Grüße . Tabea
I live in New Zealand and have already seen your beautiful book :) I found your information on color, pattern styles and perfecting repeats in Illustrator.
Already scheming for meaningful motifs to print! Yippee! This book looks awesome! Just bought Laurie's gorgeous llama print fabrics and they are so delightful!

this is so exciting! I'd love to learn some techniques that would help me meld my love for drawing and design with my newer obsession with fabrics and sewing. I've been interested in learning how to screenprint for years, but I also would love to learn digital design techniques.
Who wouldn't want to learn from the expert? Sounds like a great book.
I love fabric, and would love to learn the process of designing and printing fabric. Congrats on this wonderful book.
I have been wanting to design my own fabric for a long time now. I admire your work, and this book would be just the inspiration and expertise that I need to get started.

I have always been intrigued by fabric design and would love to learn more.
I am teaching myself all I can about textile and surface design. I have been designing on Spoonflower for about six months and I am pursuing design and licensing as a career. I can not afford to go back to school, so I am learning all I can from great designers and your designs are filled with whimsy, great color and great story telling! I am hoping to learn more about how to do complex patterns and how to create a great collection. Thanks for the chance to win Laurie, and I wish you continued success, and joy in the work you do!
This looks like a great book. I did screen printing in high school and at art college but this was many many MANY years ago! I'd love to win a SIGNED book (wow) to see if printing fabric is something I could do at home in my garden, to satisfy my craving for creating something unique and useable. Thank you so much for the chance to win.
Congratulations on the publication. I would love to read this and learn more about the process of designing fabric. Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi. I am trying my hand at surface pattern design and am excited to be exhibiting some of my designs at Surtex this year in the "A Fresh Bunch" booth. A fellow designer and member of A Fresh Bunch recently bought your book and highly recommended it. I would love to win a signed copy.
P.S. A Fresh Bunch is always looking for new member designers. Check us out at http://afreshbunch.com

I'd really like to learn the process from start to finish. I have always loved color/design/fabric and have so many ideas in my head. It would be nice to learn where to start.
being an absolute fabric nut, I've always been fascinated in the process of fabric design and making and how they evolve. This is the sort of book I would love to own! Congratulations!
Like so many, I have dreams of designing fabric.... maybe one day??!!
I really know very little about the process but I love fabric and my husband is interested in learning to print so I'm sure it would be a very well read book! thanks for the chance to win
So far I've dyed yarn and fibre and fabric, but never done an actual print design, I'd love to learn how to do that.
Looks like such an informative and inspiring book! Can't wait to read it :)
I've been wanting to learn to print material and have bought a couple of books on the subject, but they turned out to be a little too specialist to be of use to a beginner. I'd love a copy of your book!
Would love to learn from someone in the know :)
On my list of goals for 2012 (creative) is printing on fabric. I want to explore screen and lino printing, playing with inks, printing off my computer. My OCD personality can't just do it, I have to read about it and I like to understand what looks good and how to create it. I think your book would help me out with all this.
Figuring out how to create a design and send it to Spoonflower is one of my goals for this year. I think this book will help a lot. Thanks for the chance!
you're giving away three? so generous! thanks so much for the chance to win!
i've always been a sewer, but it's only in recent years that i've been so obsessed with quilting. before quilting i did a lot more "art" - that is, printing, silkscreening, mixed media, etc. i keep thinking that designing my own fabric would be a great way to bring the art side back into my life, and i think the book would be a great motivation. i've been eyeing it since it was first announced!
in terms of something specific to learn, i already know that i need to learn more about repeats, positioning, etc. it seems mathy to me, and therefore scary to my right-brained self!
thanks for the giveaway! i can't wait to get my hand on this book :)
The book looks great, Thanks for the chance to wine. I love to read especially when it has to do with my obsessions!
I would LOVE to win this book because it could probably help me design a fabric collection (something I decided to do this week)...
Life is funny sometimes :)
Thanks for the chance !!
Thanks for the giveaway! I'd love to learn more about the process of printing and designing.
This looks like a great book--well done!! Thanks for such an inspirational giveaway :)
Would love a copy of this book!
Thanks for the chance!
I'd like to learn how you decide how to scale the print to be the most visually appealing (tiny/ditsy vs. large scale print). Thanks for the chance to win!
Would love to win this book and hope to learn more about color associations!
Your book looks fabulous. I'd love to find out more about established designers' experiences in the field as well as other printing techniques. It is so inspiring to read the story of someone who started where I am now & has had such success.
Thank you for this giveaway! I have recently (re)discoverd fabrics and sewing but it not easy to find nice fabrics for boys. I have a 7 month old son and would love to find out more about fabric printing and perhaps design a fabric especially for my son in the future.
I would love to win. I recently started getting really into fabrics and am always trying to fine great ideas :)

Gosh. I'd love to print my own fabrics! So many options!
I would love your book. I am a graphic and web designer, used to be a filmmaker working in Hollywood. I now reside in North Idaho on a small ranch with sheep and chickens. I knit, have an organic garden and enjoy sort of a domestic life.
Here is my blog where you can see my sheep and whole lot more.

What an awesome book!! I'd love to win it. :D I have been really interested in fabric design for a while, but have not had a lot of luck finding a book with good instruction.
Thanks so much for the chance to win. :D
I'd love to get your book so I could see how the process is done. I LOVE Fabric and Design.
About half way through art school I took a class in textile surface design and LOVED it. Sadly, after looking into switching majors I found out it would have added another 2 years on to what was already becoming a 5 year degree. So textiles went on the back burner. Now that I've finished school I'm really interested in trying some fabric design on my own! I always enjoy your designs, and I'm excited to see some of your process, methods and tips.
Wow. Lori this is such a generous offer. i have to admit to being a little intimidated by the idea of designing and printing my own fabric, but I'd love to try . . . Thank you.
This book looks amazing. I've been wanting to design my own fabric for a while and this book would help get on the right track. Thank you.
Great cover picture! I'm excited to see the insides.
I'll throw my name in. I'm really curious about the process.
Thank you for the giveaway! As I get more and more into sewing, quilting, creating patterns, etc. I just can't stop! I want to keep going and do it all! It would definitely be a dream come true to design and print fabric!!! I can use all the help I can get to make it to the next step... The book looks like it would be a fantastic addition to my collection. :) Thank you for all the work you put into it!
This book looks so interesting! I'd love to look inside at the color combos - how to choose and match colors into a fresh and chic pattern. Thanks for givaway opportunity:)
Congrats on your book!!
I have been hand-painting fabric
for years.
Would love to see what's inside your new book!
..cheers
Having read so many good reviews I´d be excited to win. I´m already doing screen printing, but probably there are many more ways to print that I hope to learn about in your book! Many greetings
Silke
I love working with fabric that someone I "know" from the on-line world has made... I would love to be able to do that for others :)
I would love this book to get a bit of an insight into fabric design/printing. Who knows? Maybe a career change on the horizon?? :)
