Perfectly Perched Giveaway!

Perfectly Perched has started making its way out into the world!!Yipeee!!! And as usual, I am simply stunned by the lovely creations I'm starting to see popping up. And to celebrate, I'm giving away 2 FQ sets to 2 lucky winners!

One of the things I've been thinking a lot about lately is expanding my skill set. I love to learn and am always excited to try something new. How about you? Is there something new you've been itching to try? To enter to win some Perfectly Perched, just leave me a comment here on this post and share something about something new you'd like to try. And it doesn't have to be sewing related (although my list of sewing skills to improve is certainly long!!)

To recap:

  • Leave a comment here and tell me about a new skill you'd like to learn
  • I'll draw 2 winners this Saturday, May 5, 2012
  • The winners can choose from any of the 3 color stories
  • Make sure I have a way to contact you in your entry

And to close off this post, I've included some gorgeous eye candy of Perfectly Perched quilt tops...Sigh (insert dreamy look here)...So scrumptious!

Perfectly Perched in Red and Aqua

Perfectly Perched in Lime and Aqua

Perfectly Perched in Raspberry and Lime

And now let the eye candy commence!

I am totally in love with this
phenomenal snowball quilt from Vanessa at Lella Boutique.
She's also posted a tutorial here.

Yet another stunning quilt from Ashley at Film in the Fridge
using the Perfectly Perched in the and raspberry and lime.
I have no idea how she keeps creating such lovely quilts one right after the other!

Everyone have a great week!

Perfectly perched looks perfectly beautiful! I want to learn hand quilting with perle cotton. I'm afraid my stitches would be so long that my pets claws would catch in them and pull the stitches out. Very sad!

I actually have a list of 12 new sewing skills to learn this year..but I got distracted with learning to quilt so I've only checked a couple off so far! Some of them are to be able to make a real actual collar, to try my hand at french seams, and to fully line a garment.
Thank you for the giveaway, love those colors!

Okay, free motion quilting would be nice to have as a skill, but I would really like the skill to organize my day. I am still studying so my days are spent at university and the libraries but the tasks I have to do at home usually get cramped into the last hour before going to bed because I "had" to watch the latest series first :)
Thank you for the giveaway, I love those chairs!

Well, we do I start? From an artistic perspective; I would love to learn to paint with watercolors and use that skill in my fabric designs! I have been doing Crossfit workouts for the last 9 months and I would LOVE to learn to do a Pull-Up! Just one would make me extremely happy!!! Maybe before I am sixty (which is not far away)!

Knitting and crocheting. I can do the basics but I can't actually make anything, other than a scarf in one color that is as long as one skein of yarn allows. I have a lot to learn.

Perfectly Perched is awesome. I am particularly taken with the lime and aqua. It's a little random but I've been wanting to take up archery lately. I did it for a couple of weeks way back in high school P.E. class and I just feel like picking it up again.

I love the raspberry and lime colourway. My skill-to-learn is quilting. I haven't done any quilting since I stitched in the ditch on a quilt as a teenager. Now I get it professionally done. SO I would love to learn how to do it and practice so that I have the confidence to do some smaller projects.

Love that fabric!! I want to become much better at FMQ than I am now. I've done a few smaller projects and gotten okay on them, but the last large thing I tried to FMQ proved to me that I really need to work on more large projects to I can become proficient!
