Giveaway goodness - Tufted Tweets and Urban Circus

Happy Monday! Thank you all so much for your blogiversary wishes. It's been a wonderful two years and I am so happy to be able to celebrate with you.

I'll keep the rules for the giveaway short and sweet:

I'll randomly draw 2 winners this Friday AM

Tell me what the last project you made was and what's next on your sewing table.

Each winner will get to choose TWO FQ packs from any of my color stories from my Robert Kaufman fabrics. That's 8 FQs for each winner! You can choose what you'd like if you win. :)

Good luck and have a great week.

Tufted Tweets: Grass

Tufted Tweets: Orchid
Tufted Tweets: Sorbet

Urban Circus: Earth
Urban Circus: Spring

[UPDATE: Thank you to all who submitted your entries and congratulations to the winners! The giveaway is complete and comments are no longer being accepted.]

I just finished re-covering the throw pillows on my couch last night and I'm probably going to start a shirt or dress for my closet next. Either that, or a throw quilt using the same fabrics that I used for the pillows.

Well, I hate to say it, but the last project I did was making a "bag-keeper" for my grocery sacks !
http://dollyshome.blogspot.com/2010/07/im-bag-lady.html

Hey, while I was making it, I said, "what a wonderful privilege to see something that we need, and then be able to turn around and make it for ourselves !"
I'm so thankful that young men and women are still learning how to sew !

Your fabrics are beautiful, and I have been lurking in your shop on Etsy, and others, wanting some of this "tufted tweets"......I didn't think I wanted the "urban circus", but this bottom photo is KILLING ME !

I don't know what's next........I played with hexagons yesterday, but need to finish a commissioned baby quilt that I'm hand-quilting.
If I should win these fat quarters, I will thoroughly enjoy finding SOMETHING to make that will stay around here for my VIEWING PLEASURE !

My last sewing project was 3 cycling hats. I made them for awards to the winners of an All Ladies Alley Cat Race (a bicycle race) here in Austin. Today I am finishing up a pillow with hexies, making more hexies for a swap and deciding on designs for 5 kids' quilts. I love your designs. I never realized you live in Austin too!

My last sewing project was two pair of summer shorts for me. (I rarely sew clothes for myself.) My next project is a t-shirt quilt for my daughter. Your designs are fabulous!

What a nice way to start a Monday! ;) My last sewing project was a couple of summer kerchiefs; next up....well, there's several, of course! But I really want to finish a shirt I started using some Little Folks cotton voile. Happy two year blogiversary!

What a great giveaway!

It seems that all my friends are pregnant, so I am churning out baby quilts lately. The last one was the Charm Squares Baby Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman (Oh Fransson) and the one I'm working on now is in the style of her Nine-Patch Lattice Quilt. After that, it's a snuggle-on-the-couch quilt for my nap-loving husband.

My last project was some tote bags for my cousins, and I'm currently working on (and will be working on for a long time) my first quilt. I don't know why, but I chose to make a full-size quilt on my first go. It's taking a while, but it's going well so far.

I love your fabrics!

I'm just in the process of binding a Kaffe Fassett Diagonal Madness queen sized quilt for my mum which has been fun to make. Next off is an English paper piecing project for the summer - the idea being that I'll be sitting in the garden in the summer holidays doing this although whether we'll have that kind of summer in England this year, who knows!

Laura Merrill said...

My last project was a pair of ruffled bloomers for my friend's daughter. Up next - a blanket for my niece to take to daycare when she moves up to the "big girl" class!

Tracey said...

my last project was a baby quilt for a good friend the weekend before we moved - the whole thing was done in less then 24 hours! crazy busy and lack of sleep which led to a few minor errors, but I was still happy with the result.

Now that we've moved, my sewing has shifted to everything for the house, on my list are pillows, table runner, apron and kitchen towels!

I just finished bijou lovely's market tote and now I'm on to two different diaper bags - one by Anna Maria Horner and one by Amy Butler. I can't wait to see how they come out! I would love to win urban circus in earth - perfect for a quilt for my little boy who's due to arrive in 3 months!

The last big project I finished was our a lap quilt for our family room, I've been working on bee blocks lately, but on my cutting table right now is a new Zelda quilt for my boyfriend. Thank you for the giveaway, love your fabrics!

Last week I made a quilt for the cat basket!! It was a good use of a few 14 inch panels of cats that I'd made and not ended up using in a bigger project. Glad to report the cat is loving it!
In progress is a quilt made from fabric my lovely hairdresser bought me on her last visit to America to see her family. So incredibly kind, she went into Joanns and asked them to bundle up enough fabric for a whole quilt.

I just finished some new pillows for our living room, I'm planning on making a new Practical Bag for myself, just need to finalize my fabric choices now! Thank you for the lovely giveaway!

Hard to know how to answer, with so many projects on the table at the same time. I last completed a throw quilt for friends that we stayed with on vacation, and I am now working the hardest on a Denyse Scmidt Single Girl quilt for our bed. Love your fabric!

My last project was placemats. I've only gotten the tops pieced. My current project is a half square triangle (or whatever its called) baby quilt. I'm almost done with that. Then, I'll sandwich the quilt and placemats at the same time and quilt and bind them at the same time too. The placemats are so I can practice stipling! :) Wish me luck with that! I love the fabric in the give-away. Thanks!

The last project I made was a quilting bee collaboration - a Jacob's Ladder design to be given away as part of our church's quilt ministry. It's going to its new home today. And right now I'm working on reclaiming a very old and tattered (but very well-loved) quilt for a friend - transforming the salvagable fabrics into a coin quilt.

Great giveaway - pick me pick me!!

Kathryn said...

I just finished up a quilt using my winnings from the Block Lotto blog. It ONLY took a year to get them set and quilted. Next is to make some pillow cases and placemats for our quilt guild charity work. I try to alternate a project for me, then a project for charity. Kathie L in Allentown

Now, that is embarassing but I just finished making myself a pyjama with the old one from my father :) He didn't like the colors anymore and I loved them but the clothes were a bit too big so I made everything smaller and more girl-like. Added a few volants and voila :)
My next project will be sewing for my virtual quilting bee. I am so looking forward to this!

The last project that I finished was a bag that didn't turn out at all as I had hoped. :(

I'm currently working on a quilt for my daughter out of the new Olivia prints, and a picnic quilt from Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow.

My "to do" list is quite long, but those are the only two that I have started!

The last one I actually finished is my "Authentic 2x4 sampler" - a small wall quilt, and I have two almost finished quilts here, both with fleece backing. One is made of blue scraps and the other with Erin McMorris fabrics. My next project: I have promised myself a new tote bag as soon as these are finished!

Happy Anniversary (Blogiversary?)! The project i just finished was actually a quilt I made for my sister for her college graduation. It was made from a Hello Betty Retro jelly roll and it was the first quilt that I've ever finished.

Since I have a few things working against me (being a teacher, summertime coming to a close, low funds because the Hubs and I just bought a house), I don't currently have a "next" project. However, I would love whatever it is to be made using your fabrics. The colors are soooo awesome and vibrant!

My last project was inspired by film in the fridge's "Sprinkling of Hexagons" quilt! I used Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt for the hexagons and appliqued them on a Medium Gray background. Very fun! It will hang above my mixers, where I bake, as it reminds me of sprinkles! My next project will either make use of my Dream On charm packs (exciting!) or a Botany layer cake - haven't decided exactly what to do yet though!

That's actually a hard one because I'm always making projects big and small and am often working on test blocks and pieces in between. Technically the last project I was working on was the quilt block tutorial that I just posted on my blog (but I also bound three quilts over the past few days). Next up, I want to make more blocks like the ones I made in my tutorial and I need to finish up the sample for a new quilt I just designed.

Thanks for the opportunity! I just finished a quilt for my nephew. I used some stash fabric from Flea Market Fancy by Denyse Schmidt. My nephew loved it! Now I'm starting a quilt for his younger brother. I don't think he really wants a quilt as much as he just wants what his brother's got! But that's ok . . . anything for an excuse to make a quilt!

Honestly, the last (and only) project I finished was a pincushion.
