Perfectly Perched Giveaway!

Perfectly Perched has started making its way out into the world!!Yipeee!!! And as usual, I am simply stunned by the lovely creations I'm starting to see popping up. And to celebrate, I'm giving away 2 FQ sets to 2 lucky winners!

One of the things I've been thinking a lot about lately is expanding my skill set. I love to learn and am always excited to try something new. How about you? Is there something new you've been itching to try? To enter to win some Perfectly Perched, just leave me a comment here on this post and share something about something new you'd like to try. And it doesn't have to be sewing related (although my list of sewing skills to improve is certainly long!!)

To recap:

  • Leave a comment here and tell me about a new skill you'd like to learn
  • I'll draw 2 winners this Saturday, May 5, 2012
  • The winners can choose from any of the 3 color stories
  • Make sure I have a way to contact you in your entry

And to close off this post, I've included some gorgeous eye candy of Perfectly Perched quilt tops...Sigh (insert dreamy look here)...So scrumptious!

Perfectly Perched in Red and Aqua

Perfectly Perched in Lime and Aqua

Perfectly Perched in Raspberry and Lime

And now let the eye candy commence!

I am totally in love with this
phenomenal snowball quilt from Vanessa at Lella Boutique.
She's also posted a tutorial here.

Yet another stunning quilt from Ashley at Film in the Fridge
using the Perfectly Perched in the and raspberry and lime.
I have no idea how she keeps creating such lovely quilts one right after the other!

Everyone have a great week!

Sadly, my blue chair cushion is wearing out after two years. I'm really thinking of going with your new chair print in the lime/aqua line. Love all of these, as usual!

This is totally random and completely unrelated to sewing, but I recently heard about urban beekeeping. It's probably not something I'd do on my own, but I'd love to learn the basics and maybe spend some time helping an experienced beekeeper take care of his/her hives. Crazy, right?

I love the raspberry and lime. I am going to try making a rain coat out of the laminated cotton fabric. I have it cut out and am working up the courage to start sewing it. I don't want to mess up on fabric that cost $20 a yard.

I'd like to learn how to paper piece

I want to get better at quilting. I free-motion quilted once and found it easy, but I think my current (prehistoric) machine just won't tolerate it. I can't 'quilt as you go' to save my life. I can just about hand quilt, but it takes sooooooooooooo long! I love the raspberry and lime colourway. Thanks for the chance!

Gorgeous fabric! Generous giveaway, thanks for the chance to win! :)

I have an ever growing list of sewing related things I want to learn....seems the more I learn the more I realize I still need to learn! :)
I'd like to learn free-motion quilting, machine binding and and how to add elastic to waistbands using my serger....that's a start! :)

What fun fabrics. Thanks for the chance to win.

I would like to try slalom. I watch my husband but would like to get behind the wheel myself one of these days.

Have to agree with another post above...curved piecing would be a great new skill.

I'm really hoping to get better at knitting and crochet (you know, making something more complex than a scarf). I know the basic stitches, so I'm pretty sure I can do it, but I get so confused at trying to decipher the patterns!

Thanks for the giveaway!

I'd like to get better at FMQ and not feel so overwhelmed and outclassed.

Also, applique, cathedral windows, curved and paper piecing.

Hmmmm, I'm going with a non sewing skill. How about running, that would make up for all the time spent at the sewing machine! Yes, running it is.

I would like to try to make the New York Beauty block. I'm intimidated by the curves. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your wonderful giveaway!

Free motion quilting and/or paper piecing, definitely. I'm still stuck with squares/triangles and straight lines, haha! I've only been quilting for a year and a half, though, so I've got plenty of time. ;) Thanks for the chance!

I've recently taught myself how to knit and am advancing quickly -- knitted socks already! What I didn't know when I started was that many times a crocheted border is in order and I have not been able to teach myself how to crochet! Everyone says it's so easy, but I just don't get it. It feels so uncomfortable in my hands. Anyway, that's the skill I look forward to learning. Thanks! Victoria (vlsaustin at hotmail dot com)

I would love to do more free motion quilting :) And maybe start jumping with my pony. But I am so scared of it.

I really like the fabric! I want to learn applique techniques (basic by machine) and I would like to do paper piecing. I've only made hexies :)

I would like to improve my maching quilting skills. Outside of sewing, I would like to learn to play the piano!

I want to try hexis, they look simple yet intimidating!

It would take less time to write what I wouldn't want to learn! I've only been quilting since the fall, and I'd like to try my hand at applique and paper piecing, but I really want to get better at free-motion quilting.
